Indian Idol - Tribute To Rajesh Khanna

This Saturday, the aura of India’s first Superstar Rajesh Khanna will be recreated on the stage of India’s popular singing reality show – Indian Idol 6. The contestants will pay tribute to the legendary actor by singing popular songs from his movies.
Each contestant will in-tone songs from some of the stars biggest movie hits, setting the mood and spirit of that epoch live on the stage.
Indian Idol 6 contestants will add the magic of romance in the air by humming songs such as Zindagi Pyar Ka Geet Hai, Zindagi Ka Safar Hai Ye Kaisa Safar and Kora Kagaz Tha Yeh Mann Mera. 
So get ready to relive the magical era of the sixties and seventies on Indian Idol 6 on 21st July 2012 at 20:30 hours only on Sony Entertainment Television.

Sunil Shetty & Rajpal Yadav in Delhi to promote their Film ‘Mere Dost Picture Abhi Baki Hai’

The stars of the latest film ‘Mere Dost Picture Abhi Baki Hai’were in the capital to promote their film along with their director Rajnish RajThakur. Sunil Shetty, Rajpal Yadv and Shawar Ali were among those addressingthe media.
On the day when everybody was mourning the demise ofSuperstar Rajesh Khanna, Sunil Shetty did not start promoting his film without rememberinghim. “Hewas not a superstar for me he was the super duper star who will be with usalways. The legend had taught us to romance and we still follow him. I’ll misshim.” Said Sunil Shetty.

While talking to media about his film, Sunil said, “This film has a very strong meaningdepicted in a comic style. It will basically give you an insight into the filmindustry. I play the character of an aspiring film maker. You’ld love thechemistry that I share with all the characters in the film”.
The film ‘Mere Dost Picture Abhi Baki Hai’ will take you on anuntamed journey inside the wistful world of bollywood which showcasesthe reality of the largest film industry of the world.
The film directed by Rajnish Raj Thakur is all stated to hitthe theatres on 20th July.

Rajpal Yadav’s Directorial Debut with Late Dara Singh and Late Satyadev Dubey!

 
Both legends, wrestling champion and actor Dara Singh, who passed away a few days ago, and the doyen of Hindi theatre Satyadev Dubey, who left this world on December 25, 2011, will be seen for one more time in a film titled ‘Ata Pata Laapata’ directed by Rajpal Yadav, who also plays the lead in it. 

   The film, a musical political satire, will see Dubey playing a theatre actor a la Sir Lawrence Olivier's portrayal of Shakespeare and Dara Singh as the owner of a drama company. Fortunately, Ata Pata Laapata has been completed, and will release in October. It is dedicated to Dubey and Singh. 

   Asked about his film, Rajpal says, "When Satyadev Dubeyji agreed to be in my film, I felt I had achieved something great in life. And after that, Dara Singhji also agreed to be part of my film. Both the doyens were so inspiring to watch and direct. Satyadevji would say, 'Don't hesitate in correcting me if I am going wrong'. This, coming from the God of acting to someone who's not just his disciple but also a first-time director." 

   About Dara Singh, Rajpal says, "He was so professional in spite of his failing health. And so childlike in his enthusiasm about his role. By the time we came to his dubbing, he was too ill to travel. So, we recorded his dubbing at his home. We did try to get voices of mimic artistes to match Daraji's voice. But it was impossible. Dara Singhji's voice and personality can't be duplicated. He was one of his kind." 

   Rajpal describes his film as an 'organised musical chaos'. Of the 175 actors, only 20 have acted in films while the rest are from theatre. Dara Singh even delivers a speech on the state of the nation in the film.

सोनी पिक्चर्स की फिल्म ‘टोटल रिकॉल’ ३अगस्त को पूरे विश्व में एक साथ रिलीज होने वाली है यह फिल्म लेखक फिलिप के डिक कीलघु कहानी “वी कैन रिमेम्बर इट फॉर यू होलसेल’’ पर आधारित है. इस फिल्म में मुख्यभूमिकाओं में हैं कॉलिन फेरल, केट बिक्किंसले और अमेरिकी सुपर स्टार जेसिका बियलऔर निर्देशक हैं लेन वाइसमेन.
