BHANDARKAR LEADS THE INDIAN NEW WAVE CINEMA

In a tribute to National Award winning film director Madhur Bhandarkar, the Indian Film Festival, Berlin has offered to pay two films homage at its current edition, between 15th – 19th August 2012 in Berlin, Germany. The Festival is being organized by BNA GERMANY and the Embassy of India with ‘Visit Berlin’, will screen Bhandarkar’s  ‘Chandni Bar’ and ‘Fashion’ at Cinema Babylon in Berlin.

Bhandarkar has been invited by the Festival for its opening ceremony. It may be recalled that the Director created ripples in the film world with his offbeat film and ever since he has been coming up with subtle and stark comments through his films on various social issues. The Festival is dedicating a section ‘Leading The New Wave’ to the director, who has made award winning films like Chandni Bar, Satta, Page 3, Traffic Signal and Fashion.

The hype about Bhandarkar’s arrival in Berlin is so intense that German media is full of the news. In Berlin the Director will also participate in an intense dialogue with his fans and also release the new Promo cut of the film ‘Heroine’. Talking about the section, Festival’s Chief Executive Officer, Alexandra Ccahuana Tito says, “I have seen almost every film of Madhur Bhandarkar and I always wondered why Germany doesn’t get to see his work, so at IFF Berlin, we took this opportunity to screen two of his remarkable films, ‘Chandni Bar’ and ‘Fashion’. I am sure Madhur and Priyanka Chopra’s fans in Germany would be delighted with this.”

“I am humbled by the love and support they are showing towards me. I am glad that my films have made a special slot for people around the world. I am looking forward to be there for the festival with two of my most loved films – Chandni Bar and Fashion,” says Bhandarkar.

Jeena Hai Toh Thok Daal music launch

Ravi  Kishen took centrestage and gyrated to the song Palangtod. It was fun time at the music launch of Rash Productions' Jeena Hai Toh Thok Daal directed by Manish Vatsalya at Sun 'n' Sand Hotel, Juhu.
Producer Aparna Hoshing's no-expense-spared effort was very well-received and her guts to make a film like Jeena Hai Toh Thok Daal was appreciated by connoiseurs and critics alike. A product of grit and energy, Jeena Hai Toh Thok Daal music launch saw celebs of the likes of Ravi Kishen, H Sudhir, director-actor Manish Vatsalya, Pooja Welling, Yashpal Sharma, Murli Sharma, Ashwini Kalsekar, Siddhant Madhav, Shadab and Saberi, sufi singer Mudasir Ali, Gary Richardson and others in attendance. Other than the singers performing to them, beeboys did some amazing steps to the title song Jeena Hai Toh Thok Daal that was very well received  by the audiences.
All in all, a fun-filled evening indeed.

मुझे भाषा की कभी कोई भी समस्या नही - भूमिका चावला

अभिनेत्री भूमिका चावला ने  फिल्म “तेरे नाम” में बहुत ही सीधी सादी वप्यारी सी लड़की निर्झरा का किरदार अभिनीत किया था यह किरदार इतना पसंद आया कि आज भीहम सभी के जहन में है इस प्यारी सी उत्तर भारतीय लड़की ने पहले म्यूजिक विडियो मेंकाम किया.  भूमिका का म्यूजिक विडियो मेंकाम करने का उद्देश्य था हिंदी फिल्मों में उचाईयों को छूना इसके बजाय उन्हें दक्षिणभारतीय फिल्म ‘येवकुडू’ में काम मिला. इस फिल्म में भूमिका ने काम किया और उनकानाम हर दक्षिण भारतीय की जुबाँ पर छा गया.

दक्षिण की इस फिल्म में सफल होते ही उन्होंने हिंदी फिल्मों में प्रवेश किया फिल्म‘तेरे नाम’ से सुपर स्टार सलमान खान के साथ. निर्देशक सतीश कौशिक की इस फिल्म कोअपार सफलता मिली और हिंदी फ़िल्मी दुनिया में भी भूमिका को बहुत सराहना मिली. ‘तेरेनाम’ के अलावा “गाँधी माय फादर” जैसी क्लासिक फिल्म व पंजाबी और भोजपुरी फिल्मोंमें काम करके का अनुभव भी उन्होंने लिया.  

हम इसे एक चमत्कार हीकह सकते हैं कि एक पारंपरिक पंजाबी परिवार की लड़की दक्षिण फिल्म उद्योग की अनेकोंफिल्मों में काम करती है और सफलता प्राप्त करती है. दक्षिण भाषा की अनेकों फिल्मोंमें काम किया भूमिका ने, कहीं उन्हें किसी भी प्रकार की भाषा की समस्या का सामना नहींकरना पड़ा पूछने पर ? वह हंसते हुए जवाब देती हैं , "शुरू में तो सच में बहुत ही मुश्किल रहा मेरे लिए इस भाषा को समझना एक भी शब्दमुझे समझ में नही आता था बहुत कोशिश करती थी समझने की लेकिन रिजल्ट जीरो ही रहा .फिल्म के सेट पर एक सीनियर अनुवादक रहते थे जो फिल्म की कहानी,  संवाद आदि का अर्थ बताते थे.  धीरे - धीरे जब आप एक ही माहौल में रहेते हैंतो आपको सब समझ में आने लगता है. अच्छी टीम के साथ काम करके मुझे भाषा की जो भीसमस्या थी सब दूर हो गयी.”
जिस तरह भूमिका नेदक्षिण की फिल्मों में काम करके लोकप्रियता हासिल की,  कह सकते हैं सही मायने में अगर मन में लगन हो तो भाषा कोई भी समस्या नही है. भूमिकाने दक्षिण में अनेकों तरह की भूमिकाएं को अभिनीत किया है. जल्दी ही उनकी एक तेलुगुफिल्म “अप्रैल फूल” आने वाली है जिसे निर्देशक  कृष्णास्वामी श्रीकांत आयंगरने निर्देशित किया है इस फिल्म में पत्रकार बनी भूमिका के साथ जगपति बाबू मुख्यभूमिका में हैं.

Sunny Deol’s Much Awaited Film Mohalla Assi enters the Final Round of Dubbing

The much awaited film ofthe year  Mohalla Assi, directed byDr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi hasreached its last round of dubbing. Almost all the main actors of the movie havefinished dubbing and since Monday the film's main hero Sunny Deol has also starteddubbing for his character. This is the first time in his career that Sunny Deol plays the role of a Sanskrit teacher.Sunny Deol has recently returned from abroad and is all set to start shooting  for his next film  Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 soon and thus has takentime off his busy schedule to dub for Mohalla Assi Shot by the streamsand ghats of the River Ganges at Varanasi, Mohalla Assi is based on the worksof the famous novelist and storyteller  Dr.Kashinath Singh’s Kashi Assi. Claiming that content-based movies is his USP,Producer Vinay Tiwari’s company called Crossword Entertainment states that apartfrom Sunny Deol as the main lead in the film, Sakshi Tanwar, Ravi Kishan,Mukesh Tiwari, Saurabh Shukla, Rajendra Gupta are also playing key characters.The film is said to be about an honest Banarasi’s battle against Drug trade andthe growing  battle against pornography inthe Banaras Ghats.
