Akki sings on Idol

Akshay Kumar is a man of many talents. He has a very strong fan following who adore his acting style and now the superstar has added another feather to his cap. Akshay Kumar showed his singing prowess on the sets of Indian Idol 6. Akshay Kumar along with co-star Paresh Rawal visited the sets of Indian Idol 6 to promote their upcoming film ‘Oh My God’. After the performance of finalist Devendra Pal Singh judge Asha Bhosle revealed how good a singer Akshay was and asked him to give everyone a small trailer. Akki later got on stage and sang a Gurudwara shabd and created a very holy atmosphere. The judges along with the contestants and hosts wore a cloth around their head in respect to the religion and were completely mesmerized by Akshay’s singing. Unofficial, but Akki has made his singing debut on idol!

 

Esha Gupta faces her fear while shooting for Raaz 3

The shooting of Fox Star Studios and Vishesh Films ' Raaz 3 was both a physically and emotionally draining process for actress Esha Gupta ,who was quite literally made to face her worst fear -
A certain scene in the 3D horror film required the actress to stand by the edge of a 50 ft high cliff as she hallucinates falling off - While the actress who suffers from the fear of heights,suggested using a body double,director Vikram Bhatt insisted on Esha doing it herself - To add to the situation,the scene was shot in the later hours of the night,adding to the Esha's fright.
The actress however,decided to give in and face her fears head on -Says Esha“I suffer from acrophobia and had to stand on a 50 feet high cliff. We were shooting for it at night and it made me more nervous.”
The first –of-its-kind 3D horror film,starring Emraan Hashmi,Bipasha Basu and Esha Gupta follows the journey of a fading superstar’s revenge against a rising star.Presented by Fox Star Studios and produced by Vishesh Films ,Vikram Bhatt’s
 Raaz 3 comes to a theatre near you 7th September,2012.

Ravi Kissen re-creates Aamir Khan's memorable stunt!

We all remember the vivid scene from the film ‘Ghulam’ where Aamir Khan races against a train to reach the destination point. While this particular scene from Ghulam gave us all the adrenaline rush, after a hiatus of 14 yrs Ravi Kissen has attempted the same sequence in his next upcoming film ‘Jeena Hai Toh Thokk Daal’. 

Well Ravi Kissen had seen Aamir’s performance long back & had decided that some day he would also want to enact the same scene. Little did he know that his wish would be granted and a similar sequence was written for him in his next upcoming film! 

 “Raviji couldn’t believe it when director Manish Vatsalya told him about the scene. He was so stunned that his dream scene was being offered to him and it just fit so well in Jeena Hai Toh Thok Daal. The stunt was performed very efficiently without Raviji backing out even once. It was definitely his dream come true and he’s done full justice to it.” quipped a source close to the film.

 We hear that the star performed the scene with great finesse and will be one of the highlights of the gripping saga. 

‘Jeena Hai Toh Thokk Daal’  is about three mischievous men Ravi Kissen, Manish Vatsalya and Rahul Kumar (MM from 3 Idiots) belonging to a small village in Bihar who get thrilled by doing nasty things like pick pocketing, making illegal weapons until their addictive thrill and the greed for money lands them in the city of dreams 'Mumbai'. Will they succeed in their heinous crime or does faith have some other plans in store for them? Well let's wait and watch! 

Directed by Manish Vatsalya, this intriguing drama ‘Jeena Hai Toh Thok Daal’ is all set to hit the theaters on 14th September!

भगवान् के बड़े भक्त है अक्षय और परेश

अक्षय कुमार और परेश रावल भगवान् के बहुत बड़े भक्त हैं. हालाकि जल्द ही पर्दे पर परेश एक नास्तिक के रूप में दिखाए देने वाले हैं उनकी आने वाली फ़िल्म Oh My God में जो की उनकी असल ज़िन्दगी से बिलकुल विपरीत है. यही नहीं, परेश बहुत अंधविश्वास भी हैं. वो फ़िल्म के पहले दिन पर कभी भी शूट नहीं करते हैं. उनका मानना है कि वो उनके लिए बेहद अशुभ है. ज़ाहिर सी बात है कि वो अपने अनुभव की वजह से ही ऐसा मानते हैं.
अक्षय को भी हमेशा से किसी न किसी मंदिर या गुरुद्वारा में माथा टेकते हुए देखा गया है. वो कई बार गोल्डेन टेम्पल और वैष्णोदेवी जाते हुए नज़र आये हैं. भगवान् के प्रति उनकी काफी निष्ठा है. यहाँ तक की वो अपने घर पर हर साल गणपति भी लाते हैं. अक्षय के प्रोडक्शन हाउस का नाम भी हरी ॐ है. ये साबित करती है कि वो भगवान् में कितना विश्वास करते हैं. Oh My God उनके प्रोडक्शन की ही फ़िल्म है और वो इसमें भगवन का किरदार निभाते हुए नज़र आयेंगे.  
 Oh My God कोई ऐसी फ़िल्म नहीं है जो कि भगवन के खिलाफ या उनके बारे में कुछ गलत सन्देश देगा. फ़िल्म में भगवान के ऊपर सवाल नहीं उठाया जायेगा बल्कि भगवान के नाम पर किये गए प्रतिष्ठानों के मुद्दे पर सवाल किया जायेगा.

SONY ATV finally takes control of Michael Jackson's catalogue

Sony/ATV - co-owned by the Michael Jackson Estate - is to finallytake control of Michael Jackson's own back catalogue after signing a deal withthe legendary artist's Mijac Music.
Although Sony/ATV is co-owned by the Sony Corporation and the Estateof Michael Jackson, until now Jackson's own compositions have been handled byWarner/Chappell under a previously signed deal. With this new worldwideadministration agreement in place, Sony/ATV will now look after classic songspenned by him such as Bad, Beat It, Black And White, Don't Stop 'Til You GetEnough, I Just Can't Stop Loving You and Wanna Be Startin' Somethin as well assongs by other writers in the catalogue. These includes Sly and the FamilyStone songs, works by Philadelphia Records founders Kenneth Gamble andLeon Huff and songs made famous by artists such as Ray Charles, Elvis Presleyand Aretha Franklin.
Sony/ATV chairman and CEO Marty Bandier said: "We are thrilledthat the Estate of Michael Jackson has entrusted us with this incrediblecatalogue of songs, and everyone at Sony/ATV looks forward to findinginnovative ways to use these songs, while protecting their legacy."
The Estates of Michael Jackson's co-executors John Branca and JohnMcClain said in a statement: “Michael’s songs in the Mijac Music catalog notonly showcase his greatness as a performer but also his creative genius as asongwriter. We are excited that the company Michael helped found, Sony/ATVMusic Publishing, and in which his Estate remains a 50% partner, will representthese amazing songs along with a rich collection of other music recorded bysome of our greatest popular artists.”
Sony/ATV's deal comes ahead of the 25th anniversary roll-out onSeptember 18 of BAD25, a new two-disc package and CD of Jackson's Bad album.All Jackson's songs on the album are part of the new deal, which also givesSony/ATV access to classics such as the McFadden & Whitehead disco classicAin't No Stoppin' Us Now, Great Balls Of Fire, (Your Love Keeps Lifting Me)Higher and Higher, I Gotta Woman, If You Don't Know Me By Now, People et Ready,Mr Bonjangles, Shake Rattle and Roll, When A Man Loves A Woman and TheWanderer.
