Talented Choreographer Salman makes a Bollywood Debut in Vivek Agnihotri’s “FREEDOM”

He’s young, dashing and a choreographer who is very much in demand! Salman Yusuf Khan is one of the most sought after choreographers in the Film Industry today and has proved himself already as a winner of a high profile dance based reality show.

Currently he is weaving his magic on Color’s Jhalak Dikhla Ja, it was during one of Salman’s performances that Director Vivek Agnihotri spotted him & zeroed him down as the choreographer of his most ambitious film ‘Freedom’!!

Vivek has been in search of some natural talent and has been travelling the length & breadth of the country for the same.

When quizzed Vivek on how he decided to give Salman a break in the film he said, “ Freedom has some very different music by Maestro Rahul Sharma and the song situations are very novel. I needed someone who has no film conditioning or ideas of 'what will work'. I needed very fresh and very creative songs so I zeroed on Salman as he is an 'ideas' man and not just 'steps' man.

‘Freedom’ is a socio-political saga which is set in the backdrop of 1970’s-2000, having a realistic & rustic take along with various dramatic elements unlike the usual masala cinema. The gripping story has been penned by Vivek Agnihotri himself & with this film he also dons the producer’s hat'

Well, after scorching the screen with his superb dance moves, let us wait and see the 70mm talent of Salman!

Sonakshi whistles for Ajay Devgn!!

 

 The bindaas girl, Sonakshi is all set to light the silver screen this Diwali with her forthcoming film ‘Son of Sardaar’!

And we hear that Box Office queen Sonakshi has one hidden expertise which no one knows about. Apparently this unknown talent of hers is the street skill of ‘Whistling’!! Yes, this secret was recently unleashed on the sets of ‘Son of Sardaar’ recently. Buzz is that while taking a break in midst of shooting, she kept the cast of ‘SOS’ thoroughly entertained throughout their shoot with her rowdy seeti’s. Everyone was so amazed and loved it so much that the team on the spot decided to incorporate her whistles in one of the songs sequence that was being filmed!

A source close to the team said, “Sonakshi while taking a break completely took us by surprise with her bindaas whistling skills. When we heard her doing this the entire team immediately decided that we had to put her whistling scene in the song ‘Rani tu Main Raja’ since it’s a dream sequence and was a perfect fit with the fun loving character she plays!”

Well, with such hatke skills in the song, we wonder what chupa rustom skills she will bring in her next!!

So get set to see more of Sonakshi’s hidden skills this Diwali as the biggest movie phataka, ‘Son of Sardaar’ comes to a theatre near you on 13th November 2012!

रानी ने लगाया ८० के दशक का तड़का

रानी मुखर्जी की आने वाली फ़िल्म में हर कुछ बहुत निराला है और उसके गाने भी बेहद अनोखे हैं. फ़िल्म में यूँ तो सभी गाने बेहद दिलचस्प हैं लेकिन ड्रीमम वेकपम ८० के दशक की याद दिलाता है पूरी तरह से. पृथ्वीराज के संग रानी ने गाने को बखूबी निभाया है. खासतौर से ये गाना रानी ने ८० के दशक के फ़िल्म युग को समर्पित किया है. यही नहीं , इस गाने की खासियत और तब बढ़ गयी जब रानी के स्पोट बॉय P Amose ने इस गाने के कुछ शब्द लिखे और खुद गाये भी . वो तामिल नाडू का रहने वाला है और रानी के साथ कई सालों से है. 

ड्रीमम वेकपम गाने के बोल हैं. ये गाना पुराने गाने जैसे ताकी रे ताकि, तोहफा तोहफा और गोरिया रे से सीधा जुड़ते हुए नज़र आते हैं. इस गीत के कोरियोग्राफर, फैशन डिज़ाईनर और आर्ट निर्देशक ने ८० के दशक की कई फिल्में देखी. खासतौर से जीतेन्द्र और मिथुन की फिल्में .उन्होनें बाकायदा हर एक चीज़ पर काफी ध्यान दिया चाहे वो डांस के स्टेप हो, कपडे हों , या सेट हो ताकि वो उसी दशक का पूरा लुक और फील दे सकें. उसी बारीकी से उन्होंने अपना काम भी किया और उसका नतीजा सबके सामने भी है. अभी के वक़्त में शायद ही किसी को ऐसे दृश्य या गीत पर काम करने मिलता है. अय्या की टीम ने इस पर काम करने का खूब लुत्फ़ उठाया . सभी को एक नया अनुभव भी मिला. 

जीतेन्द्र और मिथुन जैसे इन कलाकारों की फिल्मों का जब भी ज़िक्र होता है तो उनके हट के गीत और डांस, रंग-बिरंगे सेट, उनके कपड़ों का स्टाईल भी ज़रूर याद दिलाता है. उनके गानों का थीम बहुत ही दिलचस्प होता था. उन गानों की बात ही कुछ अलग थी. और फिर से उसी ज़ोरदार तडके के साथ रानी आ गयी है सबको वापस उस युग में ले जाने. अय्या की पूरी टीम इस गाने को लेकर बेहद उत्साहित है.

श्रुति हसन आजकल कुमार तौरानी की फिल्म के लिए पुणे में शूटिंग कर रही है ,जिसे प्रभु देवा director कर रहे है !मुंबई में शूटिंग के व्यस्त schedule के बाद श्रुति अब पुणे के शांत जगह का भी लुत्फ़ उठा रही है ! शूटिंग के समय अपने शाट के लिए इंतज़ार करने से बेहतर अपने आप को व्यस्त रखने के लिए श्रुति ने अपने कास्ट और क्रू के अलावा अपना एक नया दोस्त बनाया -सफ़ेद कबूतर (white dove)!
