Ek Tha Tiger’s Laapata singer, Palak Muchhal Celebrates Navratri in the Diamond City, Surat.

This year, the Laapata singer, Palak Mucchal is going to make Surat dance to her tunes. The 20 year old up-coming bollywood playback singer has chosen to perform at dandiya events in the Diamond City of India, Surat. Palak Muchhal has already staged more than 1475 stage shows across the world helping raise fund for social causes. Palak Muchhal has recently stepped into bollywood playback singing by making her debut in Ek Tha Tiger’s Laapata. Palak has also sung for other movies such as Himesh Reshammiya’s film Damadam, BMW, Kab Se Sambhale Rakha Hai Dil and others. She is currently working on 48 songs which will be released by this year.

Palak loves Surati cuisine especially Ghari (a type of sweet). Palak will be performing for all the nine days in Surat. She is very excited to perform in the city which is the origin of the festival. Palak is very excited to be in Surat performing for one of her favorite festivals. She comments, “I am so excited to be in Surat. I love Surati cuisine and Culture and love the zealous attitude of Gujaratis towards this festival. I love the vibrant colors and costumes and especially love the garba dance.”
Palak Muchhal has been singing since she was a kid. At the age of six, Palak sang door to door in Indore City to collect funds for soldiers fighting on the Kargil Warfront. With her shows she also raised funds to help people affected in Orissa floods and Gujarat earthquake. The cause closest to her heart is raising funds for young children suffering from heart ailments who cannot afford treatment. Her fight for this cause started when she heard of a young boy who needed heart surgery and could not afford it. Till now she has saved the lives of 538 poor heart patient children and has donated Rs. 2.21 crore through her musical shows for this cause and still 621 children are on her waiting list.
Palak has a long list of achievements starting with winning the National Child Award for Singing presented by the Vice President of India. For her achievements in social work, her name appears in the Limca Book of Records and the Guinness Book of World Records. Her accomplishments have been included in the text book of Moral Science of class VII CBSE medium and Management Guru Shiv Khera has included her in his book, “JEET AAPKI”. Ask Palak about her social work she says “I am very grateful and humbled that I can do my bit by helping the poor and unfortunate children with my voice. It feels wonderful that my talent can be used to make a difference in other’s lives.”
‘Child for Children’, one of the Palak’s album has been released by Tips Music Company. Her other albums are ‘Palken’, ‘Aao Tumhe Chand Per Le Jaye’, ‘Beti Hu Mahakal Hi’ and ‘Dil Ke Liye’. Palak has performed in 1475 stage shows all over the country and abroad as well including places like London, Lester, Belgium, Singapore, Dubai, Bangkok and Nairobi. Palak currently sings in 17 different languages which include national and international languages such as Tamil, Kannada, Sindhi, Malyalam, Assami, Sanskrit, Marathi, Gujrati, Bengali, Hindi, Malay, Bhojpuri, Punjabi, KiSwahili and others. The child singer who has been singing since the age of four has come a long way by making it into Bollywood playback singing.
Actor Salman Khan was the one who recommended her for Ek Ths Tiger, he was quite impressed with her soft lyrical voice. Laapata is her first song as a bollywood playback singer. Her voice gave the Spanish themed song a unique twist. Her voice suits and easily blends with actress Katrina Kaif, who has been featured in this Latin infused song. When asked about the experience she says, “I am glad to be a part of this industry where I can use my talent to put smile on other’s face. I grew up humming the Bollywood songs and now can’t believe that am singing those songs. It’s a dream come true.”
Star Gold & BBC ranked her in 5 dignities of India. Palak has won the Bournvita Confidence Challenge and she is also the winner of Pogo Kids Award. She has appeared on a live talk show “Hello India” on Voice of America to share her experience with the people of Washington DC, USA. Channels such as MTV, ZEE, SONY, STAR PLUS, SAHARA, and POGO have made documentary films on Palak. She has received honor in main headlines such as India Today, Times of India, Hindustan Times, The Hindu, Indian Express, and other leading publications and magazines.

Newcomer Alisha lost her temper during Auditions for Blue Berry Film's Dare You

While auditioning for the role of Rani Dewan in Blue Berry Film’s Dare You, new comer Alisha lost her temper at a few girls who got restless and decided to break the queue and go to the start of the line. Alisha did not take this well and retaliated and asked the girls to go back to where they were initially standing. Alisha was among 800 plus girls who were being auditioned by Denis Selarka of Blue Berry films Pvt Ltd and Director Deepak Tijori.

Alisha was in the queue for the auditions when a few girls jumped ahead to the start of the line. A few girls protested but the line jumpers did not pay any heed. Alisha decided to go take charge and intervene, which resulted in heated arguments and eventually the girls gave up and retreated to the back of the line. On hearing the commotion, Director Deepak Tijori and Blue Berry Film Producer Denis inquired about the noise and got to know that one of the girls’s who was auditioning, Alisha was at the forefront of the argument.

When it was Alisha’s turn to audition, Denis Selarka asked her about her behavior earlier in the day. Caught off guard at being asked that, Alisha quickly replied, “It was unfair to the others standing in the line, so I stood up to fight. I always stand up to fight for what I believe in.”

On hearing this, Denis Selarka and Deepka Tijori knew that there was this spark in this girl, similar to the character of Rani Dewan in the film. They decided to shortlist her for the role.

After more rounds of auditioning, they selected Alisha to play the role of Rani Dewan in the film ‘Dare You’. Director Deepak Tijori comments on his decision of selecting Alisha to be his heroine in the film, “It’s a very revolutionary film that reflects the culture and attitude of youngsters today. That is the attitude that Rani Dewan is bringing, and reflection of the changing times. Alisha fits the bill to the tee”

कॉकटेल की कामयाबी के बाद अब दीपिका पादुकोण अपनी आने वाली फिल्मों में और भी जोर शोर से जुट गयी हैं. दीपिका फिलहाल दो फिल्मों में काम कर रही हैं, अयान मुखर्जी की ये जवानी है दीवानी और संजय लीला भंसाली की रामलीला.

दोनों ही फिल्मों में उनका किरदार काफी अलग है, खासतौर से रामलीला में. रामलीला में दीपिका एक देसी गुजराती लड़की का किरदार निभाते हुए नज़र आएँगी. संजय लीला भंसाली अपने फिल्मों की अभिनेत्रियों को ज़्यादातर एक देसी रूप में पेश करते है. पिछले कई दिनों से दीपिका गुजराती गरबा सीख रही है रामलीला में अपने किरदार के लिए. वो चाहती है कि उनमें बिलकुल गुजराती का लुक आये जब वो गरबा करें फ़िल्म में और ना कि वो फिल्मी लगे.
दीपिका अपने दो फिल्मो में काम करने के अलावा रात को टाइम निकाल रही है और चुप चाप अपने टीम के साथ वो गरबा खेलने और सीखने जायेगी ताकि वो गुजराती संस्कृति को अच्छी तरह से समझ सके. इसके लिए वो खूब मेहनत कर रही है.

SRK, KAT and AB do the Gangnam Style

Imagine the King of romance Shahrukh Khan, the very gorgeous Katrina Kaif and the legendary Amitabh Bachchan all three dancing on the ‘Gangnam Style’. This would be what dreams are made of but this has been made possible on the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati.

Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif visited the sets of the popular game show to promote their upcoming film ‘Jab Tak Hain Jaan’. During the game a question came across which led the discussion to the most liked video on YouTube being the ‘Gangnam Style’. Bachchan was unaware about the popularity of the song and SRK

agreed to show him few moves only if he and Katrina joined him. What followed was something that anyone could only dream off. SRK, Katrina and Amitabh Bachchan danced to the South Korean pop star Psy's "Gangnam Style" with all the signature moves. The ode to invisible horse riding has managed to rack up over 2.2 million positive reactions from YouTube users since it was unleashed on July 15th, and looks like bollywood also hasn’t been able to keep away from the peppy dancing number.

It’s going to be a special birthday for Nargis Fakhri this time around, especially since she plans on actively participating on raising funds for Akshara Centre along with Ketto, an online support network which brings individuals closer to the cause they wish to support.

 Nargis who celebrates her birthday on the 20^th October, will share details on her Facebook and Twitter page, with an aim to generate around a lakh minimum, which will help 5 girls with their higher education.

 Says Nargis “This year has been really special and I have never felt more loved and blessed. Which is why I would like to do something extra special on my birthday this year. In honour of these girls whose wings have been clipped but who still dare to dream, this year I would like to give up my birthday. So instead of sending me presents, I am asking all of you to donate to my cause...to support the empowerment and education of the young girls at Akshara Centre.”
