Woh Jab Aaye... Bahut Yaad Aaye...

Singing sensation Madhushree Bhattacharya, the voice behind innumerable Bollywood hit numbers, brings to you timeless ghazals from the silver screen, and pays an ode to immortal maestros whose soulful voices live on... Madhushree's five city tour begins from 15th December at St.Andrews Auditorium, Bandra (W), Mumbai.

People who love to surrender to the high octaves and deep rhythms of the somber song form are in for a beautiful mystic musical journey when this November hits the last notes of the day. Popular Southern and Bollywood playback singer Madhushree Bhattacharya , the coveted voice and singer for many of the top listed music directors including Rahman's classic Pal Pal Hain Bhari from Swades is paying her special tribute to the the music legends who are associated with the deep gurgle of Ghazal including heavy weights like Mehdi Hassan, Jagjit Singh, Noor Jahan, Begum Akhtar among others. " I like to sing classical songs, and have had the privilege of working with Jagjit Singhji in my career. He was a man who use to love my voice and always encouraged me. His demise was very unfortunate and saddening for me, the legend that he was, he use to talk about opening a Ghazal Academy and we were even planning on collaborating on an album together." says Madhushree. She adds," Ghazals are very deep and dear to me and classical names like Mehendi Hassan and Noor Jahan have been my personal favorites and I decided that I wanted to pay a tribute to these great legends by rendering their songs and bringing them to people once again."

Touted at being her first solo performance, Madhushree kick starts the concert in Mumbai under the title of Woh Jab Yaad Aye Bohot Yaad Aye. The show will travel to four more cities within the coming three months including Delhi, Chandigarh, Lucknow and Kolkata. " Madhushree is a fantastic Ghazal singer" says composer-producer and the organizer of the show, Robby Badal. He further elaborates, " Today there is a huge demand for retro, but no one is looking at Ghazals. I am glad Madhushree is going to bridge that gap and bring this soulful music to the audiences. Though this is strictly a 'by- invitation' only event in Mumbai, the response has already been overwhelming, where I have had some big names who have requested me to give out 70 to 500 tickets to them alone!" The show takes place on December 15th at St. Andrews Auditorium in Bandra (W) Mumbai. To be hosted by Rakshanda Khan, the show is concept based and is being divided into into two parts, the first half being album based and non film based Ghazals, and the second half covering Ghazals from films over the two hours that Madhushree will bring the the pathos, tribulations and richness of this song form alive. BIGG BOSS Ke Ghar Main Bhoot!

~ Endemol India adds a new dimension to the Bigg Boss franchise ~

Endemol India, producers of some of India’s biggest television reality shows, today announced their plans of transforming the hit reality show Bigg Boss into a celluloid treat. Endemol India in association with Select Media Holdings Pvt. Ltd’s film production arm, Moving Pictures, is all set to jointly produce a horror comedy based on the experiences of the people in the Bigg Boss house.

In what could potentially be a first in the history of Indian television, a reality show is now being made into a feature film. Widely known for its large format shows, this venture will mark a significant leap for the versatile production house. Apart from the mainstream Bollywood enthusiasts, Endemol India and Select Media Holdings Pvt. Ltd. also plan to engage regional audiences with this horror comedy.

Slated to go on floors in early 2013, the film is currently in the writing stage. With the cast being finalized, audiences will get to see an ensemble of stars from the small screen as well as Bollywood. A few housemates from the previous seasons of Bigg Boss are also being approached. Armed with state-of-the-art visual effects, this horror comedy is all set to entertain the masses.

Swanand Kirkire dubs and sings in record time for film Amma Ki Boli at Nriyavatika

Swanand Kirkire is a very known lyricist and singer who has sung Maa song for Mukesh Choudhry's film Amma Ki Boli directed by Narayan Chauhan.Swanand Kirkire listened the lyrics by Sajan Agarwal and was so impressed that he said yes to sing.After the singing Narayan Chauhan wanted to shoot the song for promotion and Swanand agreed to shoot the song.He shot the entire song in just two hours .He also became emotional while shooting the song.The film is releasing in 2013.

Amitabh And Hrithik Bond at Marrakech Film Festival

As the media milled around actors Amitabh Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan on the red carpet at the opening of the Marrakech Film Festival, the two actors got into an impromtu conversation said Hrithik, "When I was 13 or 14 years old, my friends and I had this little camera on which we would film various things. I would enact Mr Bachchan's lines and try and find that place in myself that could reflect this man's greatness. I never did. I hope one day I achieve half of the greatness of this man, who continues to inspire and encourage,"

Big B responded, recalling Hrithik's presence during Abhishek's birthday parties. Said Bachchan, "This guy used to win all competitions. We didn't know what was going to happen in the future. I have lovely memories of Hrithik in the house. "

वेरोनिका है दीपिका की नयी पहचान

 

वेरोनिका नाम सुनते ही सबसे पहला नाम जो दिमाग में आता है वो है दीपिका पादुकोण का। फिल्म कॉकटेल से अपने बहतरीन किरदार को लेकर दीपिका हर जगह छा चुकी हैं। वो जहाँ भी जाती हैं उन्हें अब लोग वेरोनिका के नाम से ही पुकारते हैं। हाल ही की बात है जब दीपिका एक रेस्टोरेंट में गयी थी और वहां बच्चे से लेकर वृद्ध तक उन्हें वेरोनिका के नाम से ही संबोधित कर रहे थे। ये देख कर दीपिका अचंभित रह गयी थी कि उनके वेरोनिका के किरदार ने लोगों पर कितना असर किया है।

ये साबित करता है कि इस किरदार ने लोगों पर कितना गहरा प्रभाव छोड़ा है। हालाकि वो अपने किरदार के नाम से हमेशा से जानी जाती हैं चाहे ओम शांति ओम में शांति प्रिया का किरदार हो या फिर लव आजकल में मीरा का किरदार। उनका हर किरदार लोगों के दिलों में बस जाता है। लेकिन वेरोनिका के किरदार ने वाकई में कमाल दिखा दिया। और इसमें कोई भी आश्चर्य वाली बात नहीं होगी अगर इस साल उन्हें सर्वश्रेष्ठ अभिनेत्री का ख़िताब मिल जाये।

वेरोनिका का किरदार एक बहुत चुनौतीपूर्ण किरदार था। किसी भी अभिनेत्री के लिए ये बेहद मुश्किल होता। लेकिन दीपिका ने इस चुनौती को स्वीकार किया और यही नहीं उन्होंने सबको ये साबित भी कर दिया की वो किस लेवल की अभिनेत्री हैं। उन्होंने बड़ी ही ख़ूबसूरती के साथ वेरोनिका के किरदार के साथ पूरा न्याय किया है।

यूँ तो दीपिका के प्रशंसकों की सूची बेहद लम्बी है लेकिन कॉकटेल के बाद दीपिका के प्रशंसकों की सूची और भी बढ़ गयी। इस फिल्म से दीपिका का एक नया रूप देखने को मिला। और उनके वेरोनिका के किरदार को लोगों से काफी सराहना भी मिली।
