Single from Sony Music’s 'Life of Pi' – “Pi's Lullaby" the first ever Tamil song to be nominated for an Oscar

Sony Music, a global music giant, released Mychael Danna’s original motion picture soundtrack from 'Life of Pi', a journey of adventure and a tale of personal discovery based on the best-selling novel by Yann Martel.
Celebrated classical singer Bombay Jayashree, worked with Mychael Danna and is nominated for the Oscars 2013 for Music Original Song, "Pi's Lullaby" from Life of Pi - Music by Mychael Danna; Lyric by Bombay Jayashri.
Since the Oscar nominations, this song, in which the mother puts her child to sleep while describing how precious and beautiful he is, has generated enormous buzz in social media, particularly on YouTube.
Bombay Jayashree is one of the busiest classical musicians, who was trained in both Carnatic and Hindustani forms from a very early age. Even while pursuing pure classical music, she experiments with different genres and also sings for films. She has worked with renowned composers such as AR Rahman, Ilayaraja, Harris Jayaraj, Yuvan Shankar Raja and has delivered a number of chart busters.

Sony Classical Music’s Releases of 2012 Lead the Music Nomination Charts ForOscars 2013

Sony Classical releases of 2012 have 3 out of 5 nominations in the OSCAR 2013 nominations under “MUSIC: Original Score”. The movies Life of Pi – Score by Mychael Danna , Lincoln – Score by John Williams and Skyfall – Score by Thomas Newman lead the way in the nominations.

Lincoln was released in November 2012 and the album features the film’s music composed and conducted by John Williams who recorded his score with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Chorus.

While Life of Pi has Mychael Danna’s sensitive composition and innovative choice of instrumentation reflect the international character as well as the religious and philosophical aspects of 'Life of Pi'. His thoughtful instrumentation also lends structure to the movie. In addition to writing the original score, Danna co-wrote the film’s original song “Pi’s Lullaby” with Indian vocalist Bombay Jayashri, who performs the song in her native Tamil language.

Indian Film Dance Directors Association Celebrated 'International Choreographers Day'

Indian Film Dance Directors Association (IFDDA) hosted an event on the eve of ‘International Choreographers Day’- 9^thJanuary, 2013 wherein they felicitated Bosco & Caesar for ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ who have done brilliant choreography in the film & few more regional choreographers

This is the second year of the Association celebrating the International Choreographers Day with the Chief Guest of the evening iconic veteran actor ‘Jeetendra’ who graced the occasion, he lit up the Diya along with the members of the association Mr. Pappu Khanna, Mr Rajendra Suvanam & Mr Bhupinder Sayan

Jeetendra has delivered some hit dance steps in his times like ‘Tathaiya Tathaiya’, 'Chadti Jawani Teri Chal Mastani', 'Mast Baharon Ke Mein Aashiq' and many more which had been a favorite amongst the masses!

There were prominent choreographers from the film fraternity who gave us some breath taking performances such as Ganesh Acharya, Remo D’souza, Mudassar Khan, Ahmed Khan.!

Stand Comedian Raju Srivastav was at his wittiest best and kept every one in splits with his brilliant sense of humor.

The award function commenced with the AV of the work done by late as well as the present day choreographers.

फिल्म अभिनेता अमिताभ बच्चन ने मुंबई के जुहू स्थित पीवीआर थिएटर में सुभाष कपूर के निर्देशन में बनी फिल्म जॉली एल एल बी का पहला ट्रेलर रिलीज किया। इस हास्य फिल्म का निर्माण फॉक्स स्टार स्टूडिओज ने किया है। फिल्म में अर्शद वारसी और बोमन ईरानी की मुख्य भूमिका है। इस फिल्म का संगीत कृष्ण ने दीया है। जॉली एल एल बी, जैसा की नाम से जाहीर है देश की न्यायिक व्यवस्था पर व्यंग्य है। अर्शद वारसी ने एक निठल्ले वकील की भूमिका की है। अर्शद वारसी ने 17 साल में पहली बार अमिताभ बच्चन के साथ कोई पब्लिक प्लेटफार्म शेयर किया था। उल्लेखनीय है कि अर्शद वारसी का बॉलीवुड से पहला परिचय अमिताभ बच्चन की फिल्म निर्माण संस्था एबीसीएल ने अपनी 1995 में रिलीज फिल्म तेरे मेरे सपने से कराया था। इसके बाद बिग बी और अर्शद वारसी ने फिल्म जमानत में एक साथ अभिनय किया। इस फिल्म की नायिका करिश्मा कपूर थी। संयोगवश जमानत में अमिताभ बच्चन ने एक अंधे वकील की भूमिका की थी। लेकिन एस रामनाथन निर्देशित यह फिल्म कभी भी थिएटर का मुंह नहीं देख सकी।
