Vidya Balan stuns at the premiere of “Inside Llewyn Davis”

Vidya Balan had the international press clicking away as she made for a stunning entry at the Grand Theatre Lumiere for the premiere of “Inside Llewyn Davis” sporting a tussar silk russet colored sari and golden accessories.

Vidya donned the twin shade Sabyasachi sari , styled by Jayati Bose and accessorized with an ethnic jeweled potli (bag) and gold jewels comprising circular drop earrings, gold bangles (setting off the golden braid trim on her sari), and multi stone studded rings.

As the 66^th Cannes Film Festival flagged off ,Bollywood’s most celebrated actress Vidya Balan who traveled to the French Riviera as part of the esteemed jury panel ,was the cynosure of all eyes as she sported some traditional Indian wear with a hint of vintage couture.

One of the hugest honors for a star to receive, Vidya Balan was selected as jury member, joining the likes of Oscar-winning actor Nicole Kidman, director Ang Lee, Japanese director Naomi Kawase, British scriptwriter-director-producer Lynne Ramsay, French actor-director Daniel Auteuil, Romanian scriptwriter-director-producer Cristian Mungiu and Austrian actor Christopher Waltz as part of the nine-member jury.

Priyanka Chopra ,the first Bollywood star to feature in educational curriculum

The Power-PC brand is only moving from strength to strength as the actress now features in the first chapter of the Environmental Studies book which is part of the Springdales School’s curriculum.

It was only once the actress visited the school as chief guest for an event did she realize that the class 5 students studied an entire chapter on her life.A first-of-its-kind honor bestowed on an actress ,the story has been adapted from the life of Priyanka Chopra whose father was in the army which resulted in her spending her childhood in many places including Bareilly, Lucknow, Mumbai in India and Newton, Massachusetts and Iowa in the USA.

Dr Jyoti Bose, principal, Springdales School, New Delhi, , “We chose the book on the basis of overall content and didn’t even know that Priyanka was featured in the chapter. As a coincidence, we chanced upon the chapter a day before her visit and decided to surprise her with it. She was overwhelmed.”

Says a source, “ Talking about Priyanka’s army background, the wide exposure to people and places that were part of her childhood ,the first chapter titled :Roving Families;Shifting Homes uses the actress as an example for the environmental studies book ,which has wide reach across various educational institutions….This is the first time an actress is honored in such a manner which only goes to show how she comes across as a responsible icon for the youth”.

Springdales affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education also have partnerships across the globe, including schools from Australia, Great Britain and Germany.

शर्मा जी कहिन सेंसर बोर्ड की दोहरी नीति

 

मीडिया के दोस्तों मेरा नाम हरीश शर्मा है पिछले १५ सालों से फिल्म पी आर में  हूँ यह तो था मेरा  परिचय . अब बात करते हैं अपने इस लेख के बारे में जिस पर शायद आप कोई तवज्जो न दे क्योंकि मैं कोई एकता कपूर या एक्सेल इंटरटेनमेंट तो हूँ नहीं  लेकिन बतौर फिल्म निर्देशक मेरे लिए सेंसर बोर्ड के विषय में लिखना अब बहुत ही जरुरी हो गया है। पहले मैं यह सोचता रहा कि यह लिखना कहीं सेंसर बोर्ड से पंगा लेना तो नहीं होगा लेकिन अब हिम्मत कर  पंगा ले ही रहा हूँ . 

मैंने  एक छोटी सी सुपर नैचुरल फिल्म , हमारे  यहाँ आज भी इसे हॉरर फिल्म ही कहा  जाता है "२ नाइट्स इन सोल वैली" का निर्देशन किया है. ४० लाख की प्रोडक्शन वैल्यू के साथ मैंने एक ऐसी साफ़ सुथरी हॉरर फिल्म बनायी जिसमें न खून है न खून खराबा है , जो की हर हॉरर फिल्म  की बुनियादी जरुरत होती  है   

मैंने फिल्म का प्रचार शुरू से ऐसे किया था कि यह भारत की पहली सुपर नैचुरल फिल्म होगी जो आप परिवार के  साथ घर में टी वी  पर नहीं बल्कि सिनेमा हाल में देख सकते हैं . इस उम्मीद से की मेरी फिल्म को यू सर्टिफिकेट या सेंसर बोर्ड को फिल्म समझ आयी तो यू-ए का सर्टिफिकेट देंगे .लेकिन सेंसर बोर्ड के ५-६ लोगों ने फिल्म देख कर 'ए' सर्टिफिकेट दे दिया . सेंसर बोर्ड के अधिकारी का कहना था  कि आपकी फिल्म हॉरर होने के बाद भी साफ़ सुथरी है लेकिन चूंकि हॉरर फिल्म है इसलिये हम इसको 'ए' सर्टिफिकेट देंगे. हमने उनसे इस बारे में बाते की अपनी राय भी दी और  उनसे खासी  बहस भी की कम से कम यू-ए तो दे. लेकिन उन्होंने कहा कि ,हम तो ए ही देंगे ,आप अपना विरोध जाहिर कर सकते हैं. और हाँ टी वी  राइट्स के लिए दोबारा स्क्रीनिंग करियेगा हम आपको ऐसे ही यू ए सर्टिफिकेट दे देंगे. अब यदि यू या यू ए के लिए जरुरी कार्यवाही करते तो औपचारिकता में ही २-३ महीने   निकल जाते . खैर हमने जैसे -  तैसे दिल्ली यू पी और पंजाब में फिल्म खुद ही रिलीज़ की.  हमारे   डिस्ट्रीब्यूटर ने हमसे कहा कि ," आपकी फिल्म क्योंकि छोटी है अगर इसे यू - ए सर्टिफिकेट मिलता तो हम ५ ० / ६० सिनेमा हाल में रिलीज़ कर पाते और हमें पारिवारिक दर्शक मिल जाते फिल्म के लिए. इससे आपकी फिल्म हिट न भी होती लेकिन  आपकी लागत तो निकल ही जाती.

फिल्म का क्या होना था खैर लेकिन मेरे लिए आश्चर्य हुआ जब 'तालाश' फिल्म आयी और उसे यू ए  सर्टिफिकेट  दिया गया. फिर हाल ही में "एक थी डायन" भी यू ए के साथ रिलीज़ हुई. अब सेंसर बोर्ड कौन बताये की तालाश की करीना करीना थी  घोस्ट नहीं   और 'एक थी डायन' की डायने-चुड़ैल थी घोस्ट नहीं. क्या इसलिए दोनों को यू ए दिया गया .    

और भी कई हॉरर फ़िल्में हैं जिन्हें यू ए सर्टिफिकेट दिया गया लेकिन उनका नाम गिनाने की जरुरत नहीं है .जब ताज़ा उदाहरण मौजूद है.

क्या यह सेंसर बोर्ड की दोहरी निति नही कि बड़े निर्माताओं की फिल्म यू ए और छोटे निर्माता बोल भी नहीं सकते . अब मैंने अपनी फिल्म टी वी के लिए सेंसर के लिए फिल्म एजेंट को दी है. इस उम्मीद के साथ की अब मुझे यू ए सर्टिफिकेट मिल जायेगा तो मैं सेटेलाइट और दूरदर्शन पर फिल्म बेचने की जद्दोजहद शुरू करूंगा क्योंकि चैनलों को भी तालाश और एक थी डायन जैसी फिल्मों का इंतज़ार रहता  है .

अब दूसरी बात यह है कि  जब सेंसर बोर्ड फिल्म देखता है तो थियेटर के लिए 'ए' सर्टिफिकेट देता है और टी वी के लिये उन्हें दोबारा फिल्म दिखाओ और फिर वह निणय लेते हैं कि कौन सा दृश्य हटा कर यू ए या यू सर्टिफिकेट देना है. लेकिन यह  काम तो पहले शो के दौरान भी हो सकता है उसके लिए दूसरे शो की क्या जरुरत है. सेंसर बोर्ड के लिए एक शो का  आयोजन करने के लिए ६० हजार से १,५० लाख रूपए लगता है. अब आप बताये कि छोटा या बड़े  निर्माता यह बेवकूफी क्यों झेलते आ रहे हैं.

अब मैंने अपनी बात कह दी छापना या न छापना आपका अधिकार है .

‘After Earth' star ‘Will Smith’ tells son Jaden to not have a girlfriend!!!

 

Indian origin Hollywood director M.Night Shyamalan is all set with his next magnum opus AFTER EARTH which will see the super talented father so duo Will Smith and Jaden Smith back onscreen this 7^th June 2013 

And apart from acting advice we hear Will Smith gave a lot of other tips to his son on the sets as well!! 

"Probably the best advice he's ever given me is, 'Don't have a girlfriend,'" Jaden has revealed!!

Will Smith laughed and stated that his advice is "for now."…"At this point, I just want him to establish his dreams, establish his desires," the AFTER EARTH actor said, "Find out who he is. And blending with another person is very difficult, and a lot of times you can lose yourself in that process. So my encouragement to him is to be honest with anybody that he interacts with. Don't make commitments that a 14-year-old can't live up to." 

Directed by M. Night Shyamalan AFTER EARTH sees the teenage star once more alongside his father, the effervescent Will Smith, one of the highest-profile movie stars on the planet.

Richa Chadda has been working around the clock to meet her professionalcommitments – Currently shooting for Fukrey and Ram Leela , Richa has been working on a tight schedule and has recently been shooting even at night to complete a Ram Leela schedule – If that wasn't all ,Richa has also been approached for several events and live performances ,the most recent being her appearance at Esselworld on their anniversary as well as when she traveled to Pune to walk the ramp for Videocon with Pune Warriors.

Says a source, “Richa has been working on turbo mode with the shooting and promotional activities for Fukrey,as well as her late night shoots for Bhansali’s Ram Leela – She is also balancing her films with her other commitments and is multi-tasking to meet deadlines”.
