A musical homage given to Late Shamshad Begum by Singer Simrat Chhabra, Composers Mohinder Sarin & Chhote Lal and other renowned persons of Delhi 

A Musical evening was organised in the memory of late Shamshad Begum at Epicentre, Apparel House, Gurgaaon. The event was organised by Amarjit Singh Kohli and his founded societies PECOBA and SAKHA. SAKHA Awards were also given to the important witnesses in the event.

The top singer of Northern India Simrat Chabbra gave a musical homage to Late Shamshad Begum by performing on her famous songs, “Kabhi aar kabhi Paar” , “Kahin pe nigaahein kahin pe nishaana”, “Saiyyan dil mein aana re” and many more. Singer Simrat Chabbra also launched her website www.simratchhabra.com at the event.

Some other renowned persons like Principal of DPS School, Dr. DR Saini, Dr. Rawail Singh (Secretary of Punjab Academy and composers Mohinder Sarin & Chhote Lal were present to witness the event and received SAKHA Awards,2013.

Other top singers like Deepak Kumar, Arun Goela, Tejpal Singh, Parminder Chaddha, Ragini Mathur, Jitendra shrivastava & Shailja Madhvan were also present and performed on some classic songs of Shamshad Begum.

Speaking on the occasion SAKHA Chairman and PECOBA General secretary Amarjit Singh Kohli said that that, “Shamshad Begum was highest paid singer of her time and even Lata Mangeshkar has sung in chorus in songs in which Shamshad begum was a lead singer. In the song “aji khushiyaan manaaye kyu na hum” from the film khidki 1948 which was set to music by C. Ramchander and the lead singer is Shamshad while Lata Mangeshkar is singing in chorus”.

Also, Journey of her singing life from 1937 in Lahore to Bombay was illustrated through slides and through recorded interviews with persons of film industry like Kamini Kaushal, Tabassum, Playback Singer Meena Kapoor, Shamshad begum’s daughter Usha Ratra, Wife of music director Husan Lal, Mrs Nirmala, Radio Ceylon announcer Gopal Sharma and others.

R.Madhavan stays at the late George Harrison's iconic house while in LA

R.Madhavan is currently in LA working on his Hollywood project ,Simon West’s Night of the Living Dead :Origins 3D – Apart from working with some iconic names in western cinema ,the actor is also currently staying at the late George Harrison's iconic house .

It was the property that inspired George Harrison's beloved Beatles tune Blue Jay Way.The majestic home overlooks Los Angeles and is within the Bird Streets, a residential area known to be an exclusive enclave popular with celebrities.

Due to its secluded nature and stunning views of the city it has served as home to Jennifer Aniston, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Jodie Foster and Keanu Reeves.

Says Madhavan, “I’m extremely delighted that I got a chance to live in George Harrison’s house. He composed the super-hit song ‘Blue jay way’ here and it’s one of my favourites. The Beatles have stayed here too”. Adding that , “I have been here for over a week now and it’s inspiring for an artiste, since there is so much history to it”.

Beautiful Pakistani actress  Veena Malik visited Hazrat Khawaja Moinuddin Hasan Chisty Dargah, Ajmer Sharif with Ravi Ahlawat, Producer of her upcoming Film “Real life of SUPERMODEL”. They prayed for the success of their Film.

Veena Malik has done numbers of Hindi Films in Bollywood, but this the first time she is playing the single Lead in the film. This is the fourth film of Veena in Bollywood.

Apart from Veena Malik, there are some very good actors starring in the film, like Jackie Shroff, Ashmit Patel and Harsh Chaya.

Veana Malik is very excited about this Film and Prayed for its success. The Film is almost done and soon its trailer will be launched on internet and Television. She is eagerly waiting for the film to get released and hoping for its grand success.

Producer Ravi Ahlawat, is first time working with Veena Malik. Film “Real life of SUPERMODEL” is based on Life of Supermodels and their personal and professional life. The film is expected to release on 27 september, 2013.
