Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na fame director Abbas Tyrewala is making a smashing come back to the big screen with Bobby Bedi & MSM Motion Pictures venture titled Mango.
Mango is a young and fresh film featuring newcomer Harmanjeet Singha playing the role of an investment banker turned shack owner in Goa. Harmanjeet is no stranger to the world of films and glamour as he's the younger brother of VJ turned actor Ranvijay of Roadies fame.
Talking about how he landed Mango, Harmanjeet says, "I became an actor by chance, it wasn't something I planned. Abbas who was making Mango was looking to cast someone for the film. He knew Rannvijay and I happened to meet him during one of our meetings. He casually asked me to come and audition for his film. I didn't think he was being serious, but I went ahead and got myself a role in the film. It was that simple!
He not only discovered me, but also groomed me and taught me the intricacies and nuances of acting. I am really lucky to be making my debut with Abbas as my director."
Speaking about his find, Abbas said, “I have worked with fresh faces earlier and Harmanjeet has a wonderful combination of confidence and innocence. I think he has a very promising career ahead as an actor.”
Abbas plans to bring Mango to us ahead of the season this year. Let’s see how does this taste?
