Social organisation, ACEE The Third Eye‘s seminar, where experts from the field of medicine, social development and media address a wide variety of socially relevant issues through interactive sessions between creative communities in the world of films, television and advertising and a panel of experts, saw a Panel Discussion Portraying Young Mothers and Parenting in the world of Films, Television and Media saw a seminar with Deeya Singh- Television Producer and Director, Dr Lata Shenava- Ph.D and certified EI (Emotional Intelligence) Counsellor and Dr Armida Fernandez- Neonatologist and Founder Trustee, SNEHA, along with directors Veena Bakshi, Vinta Nanda, Barnali Shukla among others. The seminar was attended by eminent writers from the industry.
The writers and panellists were elated when director Veena
Bakshi’s announcement of the National Award for Coffin Maker came in during of
the seminar, leading to some emotional, joyous moments.
About the seminar, Deeya Singh said, “To be able to raise normal,
healthy kids with a strong spiritual and moral centre, to be able to raise
discerning children who have developed their own strong sense of right and
wrong, where discipline and rules are self-imposed are the biggest challenges
facing young mother and parents.
According to Dr Lata Shenava, “The media having taken over as a
role -model for children and young people, replacing the family is one of the
biggest challenges facing young mothers and parents.”
Dr Armida Fernandez opined, “In this era, technology has invaded
the space of outdoor activities and relationships, restricting physical and
emotional growth in children.”
