In a one of its kind initiative last night YouWeCan’s ‘Zindagi Abhi Baki Hai’ was launched at a charity dinner on the sidelines of an International Cricket Council event in London. Presented by DAR Motion Pictures, Gurmeet Singh’s ‘Zindagi Abhi Baki Hai’ is a 70 minute feature on Yuvraj Singh’s inspiring journey of his battle with Cancer and was conceived by Nishant Jeet Arora. Yuvraj’s mother Ms. Shabnam Singh was also at his side when the DVD was launched.
The proceeds from the charity auction, which included exclusive cricket memorabilia such as Sachin Tendulkar’s t-shirt from his 200th test match, 2011 World cup winning medal along with a chance to win a dinner date with Yuvraj and a special practice session with the Indian cricketer himself, will go to the Yuvraj Singh Foundation (YSF).
Held at London Hilton in Park Lane, the event which was hosted by Mark Nicholas, was also attended by Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev, Saurav Ganguly, Kevin Pieterson, Mr Arun Rangachari, Chairman DAR Capital Group, Mr. Vivek Rangachari, Director DAR Media Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Nishant Jeet Arora, the entire Indian cricket team, businessmen, fans, and the media. Noted comedian Kapil Sharma also performed a stand-up comedy act at the event which had the entire crowd in raptures.
Speaking at the launch, an emotional Yuvraj Singh said: "I am happy that DAR has come forward to support me to create more and more awareness about the disease. Cancer happens to strong people. We needn't fear it, we have to face it and come out stronger from its grip. With this DVD, I hope to show people that there is a life after cancer, it doesn't end with it."
YSF, through its initiative ‘YouWeCan’, aims to work for the early detection of cancer, for one and all, so that no one has to fight cancer alone. YSF aims to create consciousness on cancer prevention, early detection and fight against the associated stigma. YSF is a non-profit organization registered under the Bombay Trust Act 1950.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Arun Rangachari said: “Cancer is the most endemic disease and amongst the most fatal in the world today. We at DAR feel strongly about addressing this along with other human issues to the best of our ability. The best way we felt for our small contribution to this cause was through what we do best i.e. Films. Hence, through our robust Corporate Responsibility Programme we decided to back the creation of this inspirational DVD.”

Is Shakti Kapoor playing Big B in Main Hoon Rajinikanth?

It's time for Bollywood's very own badie Shakti Kapoor to open the new surprise card for the much talked Faisal Saif directed film Main Hoon Rajinikanth. After playing various roles with his finesse touch, the actor will be seen playing a spoof on superstar Amitabh Bachchan in his new film if sources to be believed.
"Yes the character of Shakti Kapoor is named Mr.Bachchan. But please don't jump to any conclusions as my film is pure comedy spoof in a very healthier way which will not hurt any sentiments, but will make you laugh. I have tried to bring in the 80's era of Film Making where one used to see A South Indian looking Hero, A Hot and Healthy Heroine, A comical Villain, A mother, Bappi Lahiri music and so. Let's see how the viewer's react to this one." said Faisal Saif.
Main Hoon Rajinikanth is a stupid funny comical journey about a CBI officer and a part time contract killer Rajnikanth who has been given an unofficial assignment to kill a corrupt police officer Naidu by Mr. Bachchan played by Shakti Kapoor.
How confusions get created and things go haywire because of identity crisis forms the rest of the film…
The film marks the debut of noted south-indian villain Adithya Menon playing the title role along with Kannada's sex siren Kavita Radheshyam and Smita Gondkar. The film is all set to release on 5th September worldwide.

Aditya Chopra’s Next Directorial Film Not Finalised

There are stories out in some sections of the media about Aditya Chopra’s next directorial film with Shah Rukh Khan in the lead, with misleading titles attributed to this as well. All of this is completely untrue and inappropriate.
While Aditya Chopra will definitely direct a film soon, as of now he has not finalised what he is going to be making next and has not even started writing the script. Anything at this point in time would therefore be unfortunate and misleading conjecturing.
As and when he does finalise plans for his next venture, we will certainly be happy to make an announcement.
Till then we would sincerely request all concerned to please refrain from speculating on the cast, story and title.
