Nikita
H Chandiramani, is about to have her musical dream turn into a reality. Her
passion for singing soulful Bollywood songs ever since her childhood, is just
about taking a professional twist.
Though
Nikita has been performing in several private functions over the years which
has brought her much appreciation, she has never had a chance to release a
recorded music album.
A
recent chance meeting with Suresh Thomas,
the Managing Director of Crescendo Music,
changed everything. After a quick audition, Thomas, reputed for nurturing
new talent put her under the tutelage of renowned Classical/Ghazal exponent
Rochana Dahanukar to further hone Nikita's singing skills.
A few months later ace music
composers Santosh Nair and Jaspal Moni and lyric writer Alok Ranjan
Jha created a beautiful six song Hindi album for Nikita that has been titled as
"KIRAN." The first two video singles, "Sahiba" and “Soyi Soyi”
have already been released on YouTube. The full album, comprising of various
genres like rock, jazz, Punjabi folk etc. will be out in stores, through
Universal Music, this week. The album is being backed by at least another
three more videos. All videos have been directed by Aziz Zee.
Suresh Thomas says, “I believe Nikita is an artist
with tremendous potential as she has her own unique style backed with loads of
enthusiasm”
An
all excited Nikita says she is
dedicating her debut album to her Spiritual Guru from Beas.
One can
be sure that Nikita is bound to make her mark in our Music Industry and
Bollywood as well.
