Onscreen enemies but off-screen friends!

 

High voltage dramatic sequences is expected with the entry of the new character Changezi in the popular historical show Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap on Sony Entertainment Television. As seen in the show, Changezi has been introduced by Bairam Khan for the assassination of Pratap.

Changezi who is seen as the enemy of Pratap on-screen, is eventually his very good friend off-screen. Both the actors share a very good bond off-screen and have turned out to be friends. Pratap namely Faisal Khan shares on being friends with his onscreen enemy Changezi aka Sunil Sinha, “ Even though we are on-screen enemies, I have bonded very well with Changezi. The very first time when  I saw Sunilji with the make-up of Changezi, I was very impressed. His performance proves that he is a fine actor. Our sequence of underwater fight was very challenging for both of us and I am looking forward to the telecast of that sequence.”

Finding box office success!

Finding Fanny opens to 5.1 crore nett on Day 1!

Homi Adajania's quirky comedy Finding Fanny has opened strongly as it collected 5.1 crore on Day 1. The makers are ecstatic about the opening. The film starring Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur and Dimple Kapadia is riding on tremendous word of mouth and rave reviews. The makers expect the film to grow exponentially over the weekend. Saturday morning trends show the film is growing in every theater across the country. Produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films, Finding Fanny is being presented by Fox Star Studios.

When Bunty met AB on KBC

 

Meeting Amitabh Bachchan is a dream moment for everyone and for Kanwar Dhillon aka Bunty from Sony Entertainment Television’s new show Hum Hai Na it was no different. Like the entire nation, the young actor is a huge fan of the legendary superstar and has been in awe of the actor since the time he saw his films. Kanwar came on the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati to promote his show and was completely overwhelmed meeting AB. The legendary host not only spoke about the show but also complimented Kanwar on his acting skills.

Sharing his excitement, Kanwar said, “Meeting AB and being on the sets of KBC was like a dream come true for me. I have met him earlier also but this was the first time I met him on a professional level. He is a very kind and humble man. It really felt amazing when he appreciated me for my look in the show and also gave his blessings for the show’s success.

Speaking about this Amitabh Bachchan said, “Hum Hai Na seems like a very different concept from the ones we have usually seen on television. The show will be airing right after KBC at 9:30. The lead actor looks very promising and I feel he completely fits the bill of a Benarasi boy. I wish the show all the best”

Prakash Jha to attend Washington DC South Asian film Festival

 

Renowned filmmaker Prakash Jha will be among headliners at the 3^rd Washington, DC, South Asian Film Festival, which will be held in Gaithersburg, MD, just outside of the US capital.

The festival will start on September 11 with a red carpet gala reception, followed by the opening ceremony, which be attended by acclaimed artists from India.

The veteran director-actor-writer’s two critically acclaimed works, the1985 film Damul and 1989 movie Parinati, will be among the main attractions this year.

Damul, set in the Bihar of mid-1980s, depicts bonded labor, exodus of laborers and caste politics. It won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film.

Parinati - a folk tale about human greed set in Rajasthan, featured actors, Basant Josalkar, Surekha Sikri, Sudhir Kulkarni and Nandita Das.
