When Adil Hussain Repaired Sunny Deol’s Punctured Tyre…!

Adil Hussain is one of the most respected actors in the Indian film today, but the ‘Life Of Pi’ actor was recently spotted repairing Sunny Deol’s punctured tyre at a makeshift garage near his residence!

Surprised? Well, don’t be…it was a part of a promotional activity to promote upcoming film ‘Zed Plus’, in which Adil Hussain plays the role of a puncturewala named Aslam. The photographs taken at the venue show that Adil was indeed taking his role quite seriously while Sunny, who was joined by the film’s director Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, looked on with an amused smile.

Directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, ‘Zed Plus’ is a political satire about a common man, who is given Zed Plus security following a chance meeting with the Prime Minister of India, leading to hilarious consequences.

Presented by Niyati and Akshay M. Shah and produced by Mukund Purohit and Mandira Kashyap, the socio-political satire also stars Mona Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Sanjay Mishra, Rahul Singh and Kulbhushan Kharbanda and is slated to release on November 28.

Several Bollywood  film producers have welcomed the Uttar Pradesh government’s new film and entertainment policy , which has offered to increase the cash grant of Rs two crore to the production unit shooting at least 50 per cent of its film in the state.

"The film policy of the state has been made more attractive with the addition of new features and will help build particularly Noida as hub for film makers .The move will definitely attract Bollywood producers who, with their films, will bring to the state employment opportunities” says Sachin Gupta, director various films and international  theatrical shows, who is currently shooting his film “Thoda Lutf ,Thoda Ishq’ in various towns of UP including Noida, Meerut and Etawah . 

 “Noida has all the features to become cinematic hub, you have the Expressway, the plush buildings of umpteen offices, the Sector 18 market and so many other such vibrant locations. I shot my second film in Noida, and for me, it was a smooth experience.”said Sachin Gupta, Who will restart his film ’Thoda Lutf Thoda Ishq’shooting in Meerut from December 5.
"Of late, the film fraternity is showing interest in Delhi-NCR, and many directors and producers are shooting their films here. I had shot my earlier film ‘Paranthe Wali Gali in the NCR region and even processing was done in Delhi. We hope the UP government's announcement brings more directors to the state. Getting clearances in Noida is easier as compared to anywhere else .”said Sachin Gupta.

“More over UP has beautiful locations including Lukhnow, Agra,Noida and  even C type  city like Etawah has modern stadium and  beautiful locations and with the government's latest announcement, it is the best time to shoot here”said  Director Aanand L Rai, who recently finished shooting the sequel to Tanu Weds Manu in Lucknow, welcoming  the grant .

Similar views were expressed by Eminent Director Sudhir Mishra  who shot 80 % of  his latest movie ‘Aur Devdas’ in Lucknow “We have shot the film in most politically-active state UP and my shooting is almost 80 per cent complete. I will shoot the final 20 per cent in Delhi from next month, The move by UP governmentis fantastic” Sudhir said.

“With such incentives, undoubtedly, many filmmakers will be attracted to shoot in UP and it will in turn generate income and work for the people of the state." Said Mishra

Emraan Hashmi along with his cast came to promote his upcoming film “UNGLI” in New Delhi

 

Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi who will be seen in his upcoming film “UNGLI” came to promote his film along with his co-actors. Randeep Hooda, Angad Bedi, Neil Bhoopalam & Director Rensil D’Silva accompanied Emraan during press conference. Emraan & his cast exposed their plot of the film & their roles before media. Emraan Hashmi who is playing a role of Nikhil, Randeep Hooda as Abhay, Angad Bedi as Kalim & Neil Bhoopalam as Goti, shared their experience of shoot & justified the title of the movie & relevancy of upcoming “UNGLI” film. On being asked about the plot, Emraan told the media 

"This film is against Traffic jam, corrupt system & politicians, potholes etc. It tells that we need to point out those issues. This film is lighting all the issues, it may not create lot of difference but yes at least few percentage changes will surly occur. Ways of punishing the culprit is not so appropriate because it is just a movie that is designed in an entertainment way well i hope people can find out more good ways to solve these issues. This is a good story & I am really happy being a part of it. I hope our audience will love this movie."

Flash Concert held in Mumbai as Tribute to the Martyrs of 26/11 Terror Attacks

Six years ago, Mumbai witnessed one of its most horrific days in recent history. Terror took over the city and many lives were lost. On Friday 26^th November 2014, through the resonance of mundane city hustle and bustle outside Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus the melodious sounds of a sitar, mridangam, flute, tabla and a plethora of other classical instruments were heard. 25 of India’s most talented musicians came together to perform a musical tribute to the heroes that gave their lives on 26/11.

This musical performance was one of three that took place in the day, the second occurring at about 3pm at Marine Drive and the third at 5:30pm outside the Taj Mahal Palace. All 3 performances paid tribute to the lives taken on the night of the November 26^th, six years to the day.  The musical flash performance was done in collaboration with Qyuki – A Multi Channel Network promoted by Shekhar Kapur, Samir Bangara and AR Rahman.

Titled SHAHEED SANGEET SAMMAAN #SSS2611, the event saw several accomplished musicians namely Purbayan Chatterjee, Fazal Qureshi, Rakesh Chaurasia, Dilshad Khan, Deepak Pandit, Sridhar Parthasarathy, Imran Khan, Siraj Khan, Bharat Raj, Manu Raj, Shridhar Jujjar and Unmesha Athavale among others perform a 7 minute classical homage to Mumbai’s heroes.

Indian classical music is a symbol of permanence of India’s unity and unconquerable spirit. The objective was to use music to transcend all borders and inspire the nation with the valor and optimism of the citizens and protectors of Mumbai.

Speaking on the occasion, Samir Bangara, Co-founder & MD, Qyuki said, “Qyuki is proud to partner with Purbayan Chatterjee to honour the martyrs of the 2611 attacks on Mumbai through a series of Flash Concerts, a tribute to the people who lost their lives on that day. Adding to the same, Purbayan Chatterjee commented, “Indian classical music is at the core of our national identity. Shaheed Sangeet Samman is a musical communion of the people of this great country & a tribute to those brave souls who gave their lives on 26th November 2008.”

The concept of the performance was an Indian classical music tribute to those martyrs of 26/11.
