Asin rubbishes rumours of returning to the South industry

Twitter seemed to buzz with the news that Asin is returning to South films. Apparently it was posted on a fake handle in Asin's name and has been picked up by some publications as well. Surprised by all this the actress clarifies, "I am not on Twitter and i'd appreciate it if people checked with me before publishing rubbish put up on fake handles." "I'm am not doing nor looking at doing any South projects currently. I am currently not taking up any projects at all. Hope that clears it." Asin who made her big Bollywood debut alongside Aamir Khan in the blockbuster Ghajini, has ever since worked with the top actors in the industry and has several super-hits in her kitty including a record of Four, hundred crore blockbusters.





Universal Music Group rules the nominations list at The 57th Annual Grammy Awards

Other major nominees include Iggy Azalea, Beck, Drake, Jay Z, Ryan Adams, Eminem & Taylor Swift with multiple nominations each Nominations for the 57th Annual Grammy awards were announced on Friday, December 5. With over half a century of celebrating incredible achievements in music, the Grammys are the biggest awards ceremony in the music community. This year saw a plethora of artists that are represented by leading music label, Universal Music Group emerge as major nominees across various categories in the recording industry’s most prestigious awards including Sam Smith, Taylor Swift, Iggy Azalea, Jay Z, Beck, etc...

British soulsterSam Smith, one of the biggest newcomers of 2014, was one of the top nominees of the night. He is the first male artist in 34 years – and the first U.K. male artist ever – to receive nominations in the “big four” Grammy categories following the release of a debut album. Smith’s ‘In the Lonely Hour’ was nominated for Album of the Year while his 4x multi-Platinum single “Stay With Me” was nominated for Record and Song of the Year. Smith also received a nomination for Best New Artist. In addition, he was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album (In The Lonely Hour) and Best Pop Solo Performance (“Stay With Me”), bringing his total nominations to six.

Some of the most coveted awards of the Grammy’s see Universal Music artists dominating the nominations list. Of the 5 spots in the Record of the Year category 3 are held by Iggy Azalea, Sam Smith and Taylor Swift. Rapper Iggy Azalea has landed four nominations; Best New Artist, Record of the Year, Pop Duo/Group Performance for the hit song “Fancy,” and one for Rap Album. The Australian rapper has seen incredible exposure and mainstream success in the last year with her singles -- specifically "Fancy," featuring Charli XCX garnering a huge impact on the charts and radio.
Singer-songwriter Beck garnered 4 nominations - Album of the Year, Best Rock Album, Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance. Artists Eric Church, Drake and Jay Z who are also represented by the Universal Music Group banner have also emerged with 4 nominations each while Ryan Adams, JhenéAiko, Rosanne Cash, Eminem and Rick Ross with 3 each.
 While Taylor Swift’s latest album `1989’ will not be eligible for the Grammys this year her inescapably catchy song “Shake it Off’ still managed to get three Grammy Award nominations, including one of the highest Honors...Record of The Year. She was also nominated for Song of the Year, as well as Best Pop Solo Performance. Universal’s Deadmau5 has also been nominated for 'Best Dance/Electronica Album'.

Neil and Ragini's first meeting in Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyar

Sony Entertainment Television’s Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyar current track sees Ragini (Pallavi Kulkarni) gearing up for her daughter Nishi's wedding. With wedding preparations on in full swing, Nishi also wants her father Neil (Ronit Roy) to be part of the wedding festivities. Not one to miss his daughter’s wedding, Neil decides to come back from the US to India to be part of the functions. The wedding brings Neil and Ragini face to face for the first time after a period of 15 years of separation. Both, taken aback by each other’s presence, they greet with an awkward silence. Seeing him after such a long time, Ragini does not know how to react and is conscious of her appearance. Going through a mixed bag of emotions, their meeting brings back all the memories that they both had tried to suppress over the years. Neil informs Ragini that he has come to attend his daughter's wedding along with his kids. He also warns her to keep a safe distance from his children as per the pact they had made. For Neil, they are just strangers during the wedding. Speaking about the first meeting, Pallavi Kulkarni said, "Ragini is going through a gamut of emotions seeing Neil after 15 years. Initially she is shocked but it is also mixed with anger and agitation. This is a turning point in her life. From here how the story goes forward will be interesting to see. As an actor I was looking forward to shooting this sequence. It is a difficult scene but I am sure the audience will love it."

When Bipasha Basu had a near death experience while shooting for ALONE!

While shooting for ALONE in the backwaters of Kerala, Bipasha Basu had a near-death experience when the speeding jet-ski she was riding on with Karan Singh Grover, overturned and began to sink in.
It so happened for a particular scene Karan and Bipasha had to jet ski at the back-waters but the jet-ski overturned unexpectedly and Bipasha fell off, since the crew was quite far from where the duo were, Karan without thinking jumped into the water and saved Bipasha just in time.
A shocked Bipasha was taken onto another boat and it took her a few hours to get back to normal. She resumed shooting again and eventually completed her scenes for the day, confirms a source close to the production team

Sonam Kapoor launches the DVD of KHOOBSURAT

Bollywood diva and versatile actress Sonam Kapoor was present to launch the DVD of her movie, ‘Khoobsurat’ at Planet M Mumbai Store. The Launch was held in the presence of Ajay Kulkarni (Head Operations - Planet M ) and Sunil Menghrajani
Vice President - New Media at Reliance Home Video & Games.
Sonam Kapoor  chose to wear a pretty white gown for the event. Infect, ‘Khoobsurat’ is one of Sonam’s favourite movies and she holds this remake very close to her heart. This fondness for the movie was evident at the event as well. Produced by Walt Disney Pictures in association with Anil Kapoor Film Company, ‘Khoobsurat’ is directed by Shashanka Ghosh and stars Sonam Kapoor & Fawad Khan in the lead roles. Khoobsurat received fabulous response from the audience and critics alike.
Sonam Kapoor was quoted, “Khoobsurat is one of my favourite movies and is very special to me. I am very happy with the response it had evoked during the release.”
