Sony Pictures Networks Productions announces its next - “Mubarakan”

~ An Anees Bazmee film, will star real life ‘chacha – bhatija                  jodi’ Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor ~
Sony Pictures Networks Productions (formerly MSM Motion Pictures, a division of Sony Pictures Networks India Pvt.Ltd.(SPN,announce their next film titled ‘Mubarakan’. In a casting coup of sorts, Sony Pictures Networks Productions has roped in the real life ‘chacha-bhatija’ - Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor to come together in a film for the first time! What’s more, the duo also play ‘chacha-bhatija’ in the reel life. The film also stars Ileana D’Cruz, Athiya Shetty, Amrita Singh amongst others. The family comedy will be directed by none other than ace director Anees Bazmee. Anees’s last film ‘Welcome Back’ was a major hit and also starred Anil Kapoor. Prior to that, Anees had directed the Salman Khan blockbuster “Ready”. With ‘Mubarakan’ this ‘Triple A’ Jodi of Anees, Anil and Arjun is all set to have the audiences entertained with comedy that will have them rolling in laughter. Anees will make sure that the ‘chacha-bhatija jodi’ replicate the same camaraderie that they share in real life on screen too.
Mubarakan is a laugh riot with confusions galore, laughter, love, egos and emotions.Mubarakan is produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions and Ashwin Varde & Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios and is all set to go on the floors by November 2016.
The film has been written by Balli Januja and Rupinder Chahal.
‘Mubarakan’ is slated for a 28th July 2017 release.

VMate Uses Innovative Danmaku Chat for Madaari’s Online Release

Madaari Danmaku Generates 1,000 Comments per Minute Peak Time-
VMate, a video platform that offers free HD-copyrighted movies, has set a new trend in movie marketing and audience engagement with the online release of movie “Madaari” on August 31. VMate used Danmaku, a commentary sharing system, with the cast and crew of the film during its launch. Danmaku, which means “bullet curtain”, refers to a live chat system in which viewers can plaster comments directly on top of an uploaded video.At PM on 31st Aug, as VMate launched the much-publicized online release of Madaari, Actor Jimmy Shergill and Director Nishikant Kamat, conducted a live Danmaku interaction for hours - all through the online streaming of the movie. The innovative chat format drew lot of viewer interest with comments reaching 1,000 per minute during its peak time.
“I have never used such an innovative and creative way to chat. I spoke to the viewers and my fans while the movie was screening on their phone. It cannot get better than this!” said Actor Jimmy Shergill post the chat session
This is the first time in India that a movie platform has used Danmaku for live audience engagement while the movie is screening, setting a new cultural phenomenon. CANCER PATIENTS AID ASSOCIATION (CPAA) AND THE CARNIVAL CINEMA CELEBRATE A DAY TO REMEMBER A MEMORY TO CHERISH ON SEPT 3

Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) and Carnival Cinemas organised a day full of entertainment for cancer patient children at Carnival Cinemas, IMAX Wadala in Mumbai.
The children watched a special screening of A Flying Jatt and enjoyed moments with the Jacqueline Fernandes, and. CPAA Brand Ambassador Vivek Oberoi also celebrated his birthday with the children. The celebrities are well known for their compassion and championing of social causes, and they spent time with the kids. Besides them, director Sudeep Ranjan Sarkar and producer Rita Jhawar also celebrated the successful release of Umformung -- The Transformation with the children.
Said Vivek Oberoi, “This is my unique way of celebrating my birthday; have been doing this for 14 years now. Seeing the kids smile and enjoying themselves is my gift to myself! They are so brave and just need a little encouragement in their fight against cancer.”
