Abigail Eames's fan moment with Badshah

Abigail Eames, the British child artiste who makes her Indian debut in Shivaay had a fan moment during the music video shoot of the title track Bolo Har Har Har.Abigail was in India for the dubbing of Shivaay recently and though she was not scheduled to go to the shoot, Abigail, landed up on the shoot as she wanted to meet Badshah. She has been introduced to the Indian music scene by the crew while shooting.Abigail and Badshah shared some time talking about music while Badshah was doing his elaborate special tattoo for his look in the Bolo Har Har Har music video. The track has received rave reviews from the Music Pundits as well as the audience across the country and rest of the world. Badshah is very happy with the way the music video and the track have turned out and is being received by listeners.Clearly from today's generation, Abigail is absolutely thrilled that her film has such a powerful song. She has also asked for the English translation and made BOLO HAR HAR HAR a favourite on her playlist.

ART WITH A HEART

Rouble Nagi Art Foundation’s recent art camp for children with hearing impairment saw more than 750 children attend from all over Maharashtra. Held to celebrate the World Deaf Day, the event was hosted by Mumbai University and Mulund Rotary School for Deaf.The Art camp was curated and put together by artist Rouble Nagi and was designed to illustrate that special children can do anything other children can do. Rouble Nagi quoted “Looking at all these children, you realise that at times actions speak louder than words. To be able to converse in sign is a testament to their teachers and families. Hearing impairment does not stop these children from doing and achieving anything they put their minds to and being just as happy as other kids.”

Special children should be valued by society and have the same opportunities as any other child. Let all of us support this initiative by creating awareness. The event was attended by Aaditya Thackeray, Krishika Lulla, Sujay Jairaj, Saahil Nagi, Malaika Khan, Daisy Shah, Elli Avram, Vindu Dara Singh, Madhoo Shah, Sunil Mehra, Dr. Manish Motwani, Shweta Rohira, Deanne Pandey, Rageshwari Loomba, Sandeep Soparrkar, Leslie Lewis, Deepika Gehani, Archana Kochhar, Schauna Chauhan Saluja to name a few.

Canada calls TAP KWC winners

23 participants from 7 cities baffled audiences on the  stage of Karaoke World Championship India Finale on Sunday at the newly-opened TAP (Juhu) organised by Krishna Tamang of China Gate Group of Restaurants and Savio D’Sa.Spotted at this grandeur were Ankit Tamang, Yash Tongia, Faisal Ahmed, Dr Mukul Dabolkar, Charan Singh Sapra, Aslam Sheikh, Hrishikesh Pandey, Rajiv Roda, Manoj Burkhe, Sachin Valmiki, Kavitta Verma, Glynis Simoes, cinematographer Amit Singh, DJ Czar, writer-director Anusha Srinivasan Iyer among others.The jury panel comprising of Lesle Lewis with Sirf Kash and Sirf Sona, Javed Jafri, Sandip Sopparkar, Mudasir Ali, Caralisa Monterio & Manasi Scott were mesmerised by the incredible & fascinating talent finally etching in Avik Sarkar (Bangalore) & Natasha Timmens (Mumbai) who will represent India at Canada for the World Championship among 36 participating countries.The afterparty with DJ Shane had everyone in high spirits at the club section of TAP (Juhu) partying the night away.

नीतू एन चंद्रा की मैथिली फिल्म ‘मिथिला मखान’

राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार प्राप्त अभिनेत्री नीतू एन चंद्रा इन दिनों काफी खूश है। क्योंकि, उनकी मैथिली भाषा में बनी फिल्म मिथीला मखान 26 सितंबर से मुंबई में शुरू होने वालें सातवें जागरण फिल्म महोत्सव में दिखायी जानेवालीं हैं। यह निश्चित ही, नीतू के लिए गर्व की बात हैं। नीतू के प्रोडक्शन हाउस, चंपारण टॉकीज द्वारा निर्मित और नितिन चंद्रा (नीतू के भाई) द्वारा निर्देशित, मिथिला मखान 29 सितंबर को भारतीय शोकेस सेक्शन में दिखायीं जायेंगी। इस फिल्म को मैथिली भाषा की श्रेणी में इस साल राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार मिला हैं। राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार जीतनेवाली नीतू, बॉलीवूड की एकलौती अभिनेत्री-निर्माता हैं। भारत के साथ ही, अमरिका, कनाडा और नेपाल में शुट होनेवाली मैथिली भाषा में बनी, मिथीला मखान पहली फिल्म हैं। फिल्म के बजट, स्क्रिप्ट, छायांकन और कलाकारों  इन सारे मामले में मैथिली सिनेमा को यह फिल्म आगे ले गयीं हैं। नीतू का कहना है, "मेरे लिए, मिथिला मखान एक भावुक प्रोजेक्ट है और यह फिल्म को एक महत्वपूर्ण फेस्टिवल के लिए चुना गया है, इस बात से मुझे यह एहसास होता हैं की, हमने इस फिल्म को मैथिली भाषा में बनाकर, बिहार और उत्तरप्रदेश के संस्कृति को फिल्म में बढावा देने का सही काम किया हैं। मुझे पूरा विश्वास हैं, यह फिल्म फेस्टिवल में सबको पसंद आयेंगी।“

          Universal Music Live creates FILM PLAYBACK                         opportunities for its young talent pool

Universal Music Live who have signed a huge pool of young singing talent from India’s biggest reality shows have now created opportunities in the film playback world for their talent roster. Indian Idol Jr. S2 runner up NAHID AFRIN has just sung the song “Rajj Rajj Ke” from the newly released Sonakshi Sinha starrer, Akira.  A fan of Nahid already, Sonakshi Sinha shared to say, “I had heard Nahid singing on Indian Idol and her voice is absolutely amazing. I loved watching her perform on the show and I had even once commented saying I hope you can do playback for me some day!  Who knew Vishal who was a co-judge, would actually make it happen. Vishal too liked Nahid's voice and thought it could be used for one of the Akira tracks and decided to record a song with Nahid, when I heard Nahid's recorded track I was amazed and it was indeed amazing that I could live up to my word and actually have her sing for me in Akira! I am sure this is just the beginning and this girl will go very far in life and make us all very proud” 

Another exclusively signed artist, Ananya Nanda, Winner of Indian Idol Jr. S2 has also bagged her first song in the upcoming film M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story.  Music Director of the film Amaal Malik said, “I was really impressed with Ananya when I went for a special episode on Indian Idol. She is a very talented and level headed girl, listens really carefully and her expressions are bang on! I knew I needed a voice for the elder sister, but I didn't want her to sound too old. She understood the age I wanted the voice to sound like and she did a wonderful job. Her hold over Hindustani classical is terrific”
