Sudhanshu Saria’s LOEV receives high accolades around the globe

Award wining filmmaker Sudhanshu Saria's critically acclaimed debut feature film, LOEV, has had a stupendous first week, generating praise and press from around the world even landing the top trending spot on Netflix India!Starring Shiv Pandit, Late Dhruv Ganesh and Siddharth Menon, the film follows three friends on a weekend road trip as they struggle to define the boundaries between love and friendship.It is being heralded for the sensitive and unconventional way in which it has portrayed homosexuality, without resorting to caricatures or unnecessary sensationalism. Ganesh's performance in particular has become a favourite with critics and it's heartbreaking to know that LOEV will remain the only principal role essayed by the young actor who passed away due to tuberculosis early last year. Produced by Arfi Lamba and Katharina Suckale of Bombay Berlin Film Productions in conjunction with Saria's Four Line Films, the film was recently screened for industry and was very well attended by Bollywood personalities and reviewers. Comedian Vir Das, fresh on Netflix with his own comedy special, called the film "powerful and mesmerizing" while actress Richa Chaddha appreciated the film's "realistic take at complex relationships." Even producer Ronnie Screwvala ongratulated the team for pushing the envelope of Indian cinema. 

The film traveled the festival circuit picking up awards and accolades in more than 50 countries before it was finally acquired by Netflix in a highly competitive situation for a worldwide exclusive deal.

Eros & Windows’ Bengali film Posto creates history collecting 1 CRORE in 4 days in Bengal

Eros International, India’s leading studio and Windows’ latest family drama Posto starring Padma Bhushan awardee Soumitra Chatterjee, Lily Chakraborty, Jisshu Sengupta, Mimi Chakraborty, Paran Bandopadhyay among others, has witnessed a historic opening collecting Rs 1 CR in just 4 days since its release in Bengal on May 12. 

Following consecutive successes of their previous films—Belaseshe and Praktan—director duo Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Ray continue the legacy of creating blockbuster films known for their mass appeal. The film has opened to packed theatres and continues to receive accolades from audiences. 

Eros is releasing the film in an approximate 100 screen release nationally (outside of Kolkata), including newer markets, on May 19 which marks the biggest Bengali film release till date. LIAM PAYNE | STRIP THAT DOWN - OUT NOW

Liam Payne has today unveiled his long-awaited debut solo single, ‘Strip That Down’. The track, co-written by Liam, Ed Sheeran and Steve Mac, features rap sensation Quavo - founding member of the hugely acclaimed US hip hop group Migos. Recorded at Rokstone Studios in London, the new single is three minutes and twenty-four seconds of sexy urban pop, featuring a hypnotic bass synth and a sparse 808 beat.

The lyrics mark a new beginning for Liam, reflecting his playfulness, independence and conviction as a solo artist, whilst his vocals demonstrate his inimitable talent for melody.Liam said: “I’ve been working hard in the studio for over a year and I’m really excited to share this new music with my amazing fans. I’ve come a long way since our One Direction debut and I hope everyone likes my new sound as much as I do.  2017 has been a big year for me already and I’m looking forward to what the rest of it will bring.”
