Actor Romit Raj has some festivities planned for the next few days. The actor's wife Tina Kakkar Prasher turns a year older on the 25th of November, and Romit has a few surprises up his sleeve for her. "I am taking Tina to hill resort for her Birthday. It's the best place with fresh air, no pollution, no noise," he says.
The actor adds, "On this special occasion I would want to tell Tina, 'I wish you have all the happiness in the world. You are the most amazing person I know, your knowledge, your classy style, your views on life makes me fall in love with you everyday'."
Ask him what is the most romantic thing that he has done for her, and he says, "The most romantic thing was when I surprised Tina and took her to Goa for a weekend and we stayed at Taj Villa. It was a great holiday, candlelight dinner on the beach nd water sports."
Tina, too, is no less in surprising her husband. "Tina once surprised me on my birthday by calling all my dearest friends to my favourite restaurant and we all had a blast," he says.
In a time where marriages are breaking easily, Romit and Tina had been married since the last seven years and even have a five-year-old daughter Reha. "Mantra of a successful marriage is to remember all the seven vows or Vachans that you take during your 7 pheras. It’s meaningful and will never let your marriage break. Marriage is about two soulmates coming together forever," he says.

I love getting all dolled up for Karamphaldata Shani: Tinaa Dattaa

Actor Tinaa Dattaa, who is part of Siddharth Kumar Tewary’s Karamphaldata Shani, says the costumes of the period drama are interesting. The actor, who has never done a mythological show before, adds that she loves getting into her look for the show. “It’s a huge challenge for me as I have never done a mythological before. It's 200 percent more hard work, than what we put in a daily soap. It is indeed taxing but I am enjoying it to the core. Getting all dolled up is fun and the best part is that the look is fixed, and you just have to get into the same clothes and jewellery every day,” she says.
However, wearing the heavy costumes, jewellery and wigs is not easy. “Honestly, in a mythological even, a male actor takes an hour to get ready as there’s so much to do. Even I take at least an hour, sometimes even an hour and 15mins. It hurts at the end of the day as the jewellery is heavy, you wearing double of what you wear in daily soaps. The wig and its packing is quite uncomfortable. Once I remove it, my head feels so numb,” she says.

Well! it seems like the effort has been worthwhile, as Tinaa has been getting amazing feedback for the show. “People and a lot of actors has messaged saying that I am looking pretty. I am happy. I just hope to give my best performance and I all wish is the TRP comes! Inshallah,” she says, adding, “I sincerely request all my loyal fans to watch Shani and give us lots of love and blessings.”

Partners – Trouble Ho Gayi Double, a new cop comedy series on Sony SAB!

Sony SAB is all set to bring to you a ‘jodi’ never seen before!  Partners – Trouble Ho Gayi Double brings double the fun and double the comedy with its fresh treatment to a buddy cop comedy series. With Indian comedy stalwarts like Johny Lever and Kiku Sharda along with Vipul Roy in the show, the viewers are in for an epic entertainment extravaganza
Partners – Trouble Ho Gayi Double revolves around the story of Inspector Manav Anang Desai, aka M.A.D and Inspector Aditya Dev who become cop partners at work to solve crimes together. Inspector Manav played by Kiku Sharda is a lazy and clumsy man but he thinks of himself as a very skilled and sharp police officer.  On the other hand, Inspector Aditya, enacted by Vipul Roy is an intelligent, strong and devoted policeman. The duo is forced into forming a partnership as a part of the Special Investigation Team headed by the Commissioner of Police, Gogol Chatterjee played by Johny Lever.
Aditya and Manav are complete opposites in their approach and behavior, in fact their dislike for each other is also very evident. Aditya is initially infuriated at the thought of working with Manav and goes to great lengths to keep him out of his way. Their boss, Commissioner Gogol Chatterjee, has devoted his entire life to the police force, he has reached this position after working very hard making some tough decisions in life. He is also a big football aficionado which is very evident in the metaphors he uses in his lingo.
Apart from solving cases and chasing criminals, Manav and Aditya have romantic aspirations for the Nadkarni sisters. Dolly Nadkarni (played by Shweta Gulati) is a café owner and is being pursued by Manav while her sister Ayesha Nadkarni (played by Kishwer Merchant) is a criminal lawyer, being pursued by Aditya. Adding some spice in this comic madness is Ashwini Kalsekar who plays their widowed mother, Neena Nadkarni. She is a social activist and a social media enthusiast, Neena, eyes her long-lost college crush, Commissioner Gogol Chatterjee.
Another interesting personality is that of a ‘Khabri’ – the secret informer for the police station. In reality, he is the twin brother of Commissioner Chatterjee and helps the duo solve cases by providing vital information and tips. He appears in various disguises and characters, now that’s not just a double but multi-role for Johny Lever! All the characters are well-etched and bring out individual eccentricities of each role.

Sheeba seeks inspiration from Nita Ambani for ‘Haasil’

Sheeba Akashdeep recently made a comeback on Indian television with ‘Haasil’, where she plays the role of Sarika Raichand, on-screen mother of Zayed Khan (Ranvir Raichand) and Vatsal Sheth (Kabir Raichand). Sarika Raichand is a very powerful personality, a businessperson who runs an empire. The first thing one notices about her is the power she exhibits; when she walks into the rooms she owns the room. The creative team deliberately has not given her a hook line, because it so cliché. The look and the character have taken a close inspiration from none other than educationist, entrepreneur and philanthropist, Nita Ambani.  Confirming this, Sheeba said, “The fact that Sarika Raichand is shown to be a mother and a business magnate, who is powerful and classy, we thought the closest inspiration to this role in terms of persona, character and power was Nita Ambani. She is graceful, classy, India’s eminent entrepreneur and one can sense the power in her personality. That is the kind of persona we wanted to create for Sarika hence I did use her as a reference for this role. The viewers are loving the character and I have been getting a lot of calls and messages from friends and fans.”
