Eros Now Announces Partnership with InMobi

Eros International PLC (NYSE:EROS) (“Eros”), a leading global company in the Indian film entertainment industry, announced today that Eros Now, it’s cutting-edge digital over-the-top (OTT) South Asian entertainment platform, has partnered with InMobi, a global provider of enterprise platforms for marketers. 

The association will enable advertisers to directly monetize on Eros Now’s video platform, which boasts an audience of over a 100 million registered users, dedicated to Bollywood and movie streaming. This exclusive partnership will give brands and advertisers in India a unique opportunity to experience an end-to-end playbook that spans innovative video and ad formats, dynamic in-content placement of high-quality movies, and music videos and originals across devices. In addition, Eros Now will also adopt InMobi’s disruptive mobile-first advertising platform to market content through the in-app video universe across India. It will unlock a fantastic avenue for brands to engage with their audiences on a native video platform hosting Bollywood and movie content, which up until now had principally been out of the advertiser purview.

India’s OTT video viewing is expected to grow by 355 million by 2020 as per a Deloitte report. With this partnership, Eros Now will open-up avenues for both traditional and non-traditional brands to engage with their target audience. Mobile in-app advertising is a highly personalized segment, and by using InMobi’s technology and innovation, Eros Now will give advertisers access to creative optimization, re-targeting and data-driven decision-making, capability to run ads, and to be the market leader. 

With this partnership, the two companies will work in close cooperation to devise a go-to-market strategy, offering integrated advertising and marketing solutions for Eros Now.

Kamal Hasan Turns Fashion Icon for Salman Khan on Dus Ka Dum

Dus Ka Dum- Dumdaar Weekend which now airs every Saturday and Sunday will see the Megastar Kamal Hassan meet his dear friend and host of the show Salman Khan and Karan Patel and Shilpa Shinde as contestants. Legendary Actor Kamal Hassan who has worked in more than 200 films of different languages was praised by the Dumdaar host for his acting skills in ‘Ek Duje Ke Liye’. 

Salman went on to reveal how Kamal Hassan has been his style icon since those days and loves the way he tucks in his shirt in the movie, ‘Ek Duje Ke Liye’. The versatile actor has always been an inspiration for the host and motivates him to go ahead and work hard. Shilpa Shinde who couldn’t believe that she was standing in front of Kamal Hassan asked him to sing the song ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’ when Salman Khan revealed that he is not only an actor but a fabulous singer. 

Source from the set revealed, ”Millions of people look up to Salman Khan for his dashing style and his acting. Well everyone has their own style icon which they follow religiously, and Salman Khan is one individual who follows Kamal Hassan. The time Salman Khan saw the movie with Kamal Hassan for the first time, he noticed the way Kamal Ji tucked his shirt and till date, he tucks in his shirt the same way Kamal Hassan did for his movie.”

Ali and Jackie Shroff bond on the sets of Prassthanam

Ali Fazal has currently begun his second schedule for Deva Katta’s Hindi remake of Prassthanam. The actor has been posting on his social media of the odd hours that he has been shooting. But the one post which got us extremely excited and intrigued was the one with our favourite Jaggu Dada aka Jackie Shroff. The Fukrey actor just posted a picture of him, Satyajeet Dubey and Jackie Shroff chilling in their vanity. They jammed to some rock and roll and discussed all the music they love and concert experiences each has had. Ali added that “Jackie Shroff is the coolest cat in B town I have ever hung out with.”

We had to probe the Victoria and Abdul actor a little more on his interaction with Bhidu and the talented actor finally gave in. “I’ve only learnt. And learnt not good but great things from Dada. Everyone knows him fondly. He radiates the fondness. He is far more evolved than many people I’ve come across in my lifetime so being with him has certainly been education both in life and on the celluloid. I watch him silently and listen to him talk. We have a very special and unsaid relationship in the film. You’ll have to wait and watch." When asked about a memorable anecdote from their time shooting together, he said "There was a rain sequence me and Jackie Da had to shoot. I just remember even after both of us being drenched in water for over 8 hours. He was so worried about the stray animals that were in the shot getting wet and scared because of the noise on sets. Melted my heart to see such compassion and love for nature in a world where we r drowning in pollution of so many kinds."

Their off screen friendship is off to a roaring start, we would really like to know if they are friends or enemies onscreen. Maybe frenemies? Time shall tell!!

Ewan McGregor, John Stamos and others liven up Christopher Robin Premiere

The cast and crew of Christopher Robin were snapped at the premiere of Christopher Robin. A garden-themed red carpet lined the entrance to the theater, with Winnie, Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger sitting in lawn chairs at the start of the carpet.

Seen walking the red carpet were Ewan McGregor, John Stamos along with his girlfriend Caitlin McHugh, Brad Garrett, Bronte Carmichael, Hayley Atwell and the voice of Winnie-the-Pooh, Jim Cummings.

A heartwarming live-action adventure, “Christopher Robin” is directed by Golden Globe nominee Marc Forster and stars Golden Globe winner and Emmy nominee Ewan McGregor as Christopher Robin; Golden Globe nominee Hayley Atwell as his wife, Evelyn; Bronte Carmichael as his daughter, Madeline; and Emmy winner Mark Gatiss as Giles Winslow, Robin’s boss. The film also features the voices of Jim Cummings as Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, three-time Emmy winner Brad Garrett as Eeyore, Golden Globe nominee Toby Jones as Owl, Nick Mohammed as Piglet, Oscar® winner Peter Capaldi as Rabbit and Oscar nominee and Tony Award® winner Sophie Okonedo as Kanga.

Rajkummar Rao bags ‘Man of the Moment’ honour at Vogue Beauty Awards 2018

His brilliant portrayal of interesting characters in remarkable films including Trapped, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Omerta, Newton and Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana released last year and the ones he is eagerly anticipating this year – Fanney Khan, Stree and Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, Rajkummar Rao is clearly the ‘man of the moment’!

Like last year, the prolific performer continues to sweep major awards this year as well, as he recently bagged ‘Man of the Moment’ award at the Vogue Beauty Awards 2018.

Rajkummar, who looked dapper at the coveted award ceremony, said, “While I won several awards last year and this year for acting, I think acting has finally made me beautiful as well with this Vogue Beauty Award. It means a lot. I would like to dedicate this award to my parents for all the support, encouragement and all the hardships that they have faced to make me who I am.”
