Mahi to face the biggest Agni-pareeksha in Zee TV’s Teri Meri Ikk Jindri

Zee TV recently introduced its new show, a unique love story of opposites Teri Meri Ikk Jindri that traces the love story and journey of Mahi and Jogi, who despite their starkly different personalities and outlook towards life, choose to walk together on the common path of love. Featuring television actress Amandeep Sidhu opposite popular television actor Adhvik Mahajan, the show has been receiving immense amount of love from all. The current track  in particular where Mahi was all set to happily wed Arjun (Akash Mansukhani), the perfect match found by her family definitely got viewers curious to know what would unravel between Jogi and Mahi. However, before unveiling their story, the makers have brought in a new twist where a daughter (Mahi) will be seen facing an Agni-pareeksha to fight for her innocence against her very own family.

It’s been nothing short of a tough journey for Mahi who has been crossing several hurdles the biggest being, an MMS that was shared of her and Jogi by Gulshan (Manish Verma). Just when Mahi wished to inform her family about them being framed, her worst fear came to life when her and Jogi’s videos were played at a wedding leaving her entire family stunned and ashamed of her behaviour.  While Jogi has been fighting for his innocence in a police station after being brutally beaten up, Mahi will now be facing the biggest agni-pareeksha against her own family where-in she would have just 24 hours to prove Gulshan guilty and herself innocent.

Speaking about this track, Amandeep said, “This is the most important and in fact, one of the proudest and biggest highlights of Mahi’s life. Never has it been that we have seen a daughter having to prove herself to her own family, but the upcoming track is definitely going to keep viewers hooked and captivated to know what unveils in her life. While we usually have lot of fun shooting on the sets, the particular sequence was pretty intense, and I had to really put myself in Mahi’s shoes to feel that determination and aggression to prove her worth. At a point of time the tears were actually real and despite the scenes being mentally tiring, I have really loved shooting the sequence. It’s like Mahi’s fight was like my own and I can’t wait to see the audience’s reaction to it.”

While Mahi has put forth a 24-hr challenge in front of her family, will she truly be able to prove her innocence? With Pappu ji (Manoj Chandila) constantly planning and plotting chaos in her life, will Gulshan get away this time too? Most importantly what will happen when Roopa and Bishno realize that Mahi is responsible for what happened to Jogi?

Ormax Media launches film campaign tracking and box office forecasting tool Ormax Cinematix in nine languages

With the audience slowly returning to movie theatres post the COVID-19 pandemic, media consulting firm Ormax Media has announced the relaunch and expansion of its film campaign tracking and box office forecasting tool Ormax Cinematix (OCX). OCX was launched in 2010 for the Hindi film industry, and expanded to cover the Hollywood sector in India in 2014. In its new avatar, OCX will track theatrical films in nine language, namely Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi and Bengali.

OCX uses consumer research across India to measure the performance of upcoming film releases on three parameters: Buzz, Reach & Appeal. A statistical model uses these parameters to estimate the First-Day Box Office (FBO), a forecast of the opening day collections of all the films being tracked by the tool. Over the last few years, FBO has established itself as a highly credible currency in the film industry, with 83% accuracy since 2018.

With the expansion to regional languages, Ormax Media has reiterated its focus on regional content. Earlier this year, the company had extended its television character popularity tracking tool Ormax Characters India Loves to Tamil, Telugu, Marathi and Bengali GEC categories.

Speaking about the new version of OCX, Shailesh Kapoor, Founder & CEO - Ormax Media, said: “Ormax Cinematix has been an industry benchmark for the Hindi film industry for more than a decade, and is used by studios to take key business decisions related to marketing, distribution and acquisition of films. With an expansion into nine languages, the tool will now be available for producers across India. This expansion reiterates our commitment towards increasing our focus on language markets in India in 2021”.

 

OCX has been the film industry’s go-to tool for first-day box office forecasts over the last decade. At the time the tool hit the pause button in March 2020 when theatres were closed due to the lockdown, more than 30 studios and producers were subscribers of the tool, including Yash Raj Films, Dharma Productions, Disney, Viacom 18, Sony Pictures, T-Series, Zee Studios, Balaji Telefilms and Excel Entertainment, among others.

 

Speaking about the expansion of the tool, Gautam Jain, Partner - Ormax Media, said: “Pan-India films, which cut across languages, are an emerging trend. This year itself will see several films that will travel across languages, such as KGF Chapter 2, Radhe Shyam and RRR. Ormax Cinematix needed a multi-language expansion to keep up with this trend. With nine languages being covered now, we are confident that our first-day box office (FBO) forecast numbers will be as looked forwarded to by producers, directors and actors in the regional markets, as they have been by those in Bollywood”.

MARDAANI GIRL TEJASVI SINGH BAGS LEAD ROLE IN MADMIDAAS FILM'S CRIME SERIES

Madmidaas Films formerly known for their award winning short films ‘Aunty ji’ (Shabana Azmi), ‘Baatein’ (Supriya Pilgoankar, Shivani Raghuvanshi), Dafan (Neena Kulkarni, Ahsaas Channa), and Popular web series Yeh Crazy Dil (ZoaMorani, Lilette Dubey) recently announced its female lead face for its upcoming untitled crime series. The Dehradoon born and bred- Tejasvi Singh is the lucky girl who fought through over hundreds of candidates and bagged the coveted role after an 8 month of pan India search.

 

Producer and Director Adeeb Rais says, “We wanted a young, fresh and spunky personality and but above and beyond everything- a great actor and performer. Tejasvi is just that. There’s a beautiful rawness in her screen a presence that holds your attention and her command over essaying complex emotions really blew my mind. Adeeb adds “ Tejasvi was formerly seen in Yash Raj Films Mardaani 2 in a pivotal role besides playing a cameo in our own short film ‘Aunty ji’. The irony is we searched all over the country for our lead face for months, and the search happened to end with someone right around us. (smiles) But, I’m happy and confident about our choice. She has essayed the character wonderfully. I couldn’t ask for anyone better to essay the role of Seeya. I’m also confident she’s going to grab a lot of eyeballs with her performance."

 

An elated Tejasvi describes her character “ Seeya’s character was an exciting territory to step into, because while the world might label her decisions as stupid but she's actually as real, flawed, and innocent as most regular young teenagers. She's a free spirit and a pure heart, she’s sensitive, expresses herself courageously, and has her heart on her sleeves. With all her immaturity and flaws, she’s still extremely loveable. I enjoyed every bit of being here and a part of me wishes I could be as free spirited as her.”

 

When asked further about details about the series Adeeb says, “We’ve just completed our first schedule. We will finish the second schedule by mid of year. The remaining cast has some popular personalities and other exciting fresh faces too but it’s too early to reveal all our cards out right now. It’s a realistic, relatable and young crime story. It's gritty, hooky, and dark but also has a strong emotional base. It’s a totally new genre for us and I’m excited to see what everyone thinks of it (smiles)”
