"It is an honour to be part of this legacy!" Brie Larson on playing the strongest superhero Captain Marvel

Marvel Studios’ presents “Captain Marvel,” an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that introduces the MCU’s first stand-alone, female-franchise title character—Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel.

Acknowledged as Marvel's mightiest Super Hero, Captain Marvel is touted to begin 2019 with a bang and is undoubtedly one of the most awaited films of this year.

Set in the 1990s, “Captain Marvel” follows Carol Danvers’ journey as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes.

Based on the beloved Marvel comic book series, first published in 1967, “Captain Marvel” stars Academy Award winner Brie Larson as Carol Danvers /Captain Marvel,  Samuel L. Jackson  as Nick Fury, Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, with Annette Bening, Clark Gregg and  Jude Law as Starforce Commander.

For Brie Larson, being the lead of the first female Super Hero franchise presented an opportunity to put herself in the forefront of breaking new ground in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. “It's such an honor to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and be part of this legacy of characters and storytelling that is so incredibly meaningful to people,” says Larson.  “These films are part of what’s shaping our culture, who we are, what morals we value. It’s incredible. I don’t think that I fully understood the scope of what it meant in the cultural zeitgeist until the announcement came out that I was going to be playing Captain Marvel. I’ve slowly started to grasp the vastness and levity of it all.”

Marvel Studio’s Captain Marvel releases in India on 8th March 2019 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Aditi Deshpande a.k.a Rama disguised as a Rajasthani woman in Main Maayke Chali Jaungi Tum Dekhte Rahiyo

Sony Entertainment Television’s Main Maayke Chali Jaungi Tum Dekhte Rahiyo is going through a lot of twists and turns which is keeping the audiences glued on to their TV sets. While the actual plot of the show has been received well by the viewers, the constant drama between the lead protagonists is something that the viewers are enjoying.

In the current track, Samar (played by Namish Taneja) is at his wife’s place where he is trying to find out the truth of his mother-in-law’s paralysis as he strongly feels that the latter is pretending to be paralyzed. Rama (played by Aditi Deshpande) is Samar’s on-screen mother and the ideal mother-in-law to Jaya. As Rama, Aditi is receiving immense love from her fans as she has kept on adding depth to her character. In one of the recent episodes, Aditi is seen disguised as a Rajasthani maid who lands up at Jaya’s house. The reason for her disguise is that she wants to be with her son on his birthday and can go to any extent to do so. Samar recognizes her mother despite the changed get-up but doesn’t tell anyone about it.

Aditi being a perfectionist carried the new look in a perfect manner and ensured she got the mannerisms and dialect right. Talking about her look, Aditi said, “Viewers are soon going to see me in a different avatar for a few episodes. I will be playing the role of a Rajasthani maid so that I can hide my identity from Satya Devi and his family and be with my son on his birthday. I’m not aware of the Rajasthani culture, hence getting the body language and pronunciation right was very important for me. I kept practicing my dialogues even during breaks so that it looks effortless. I had fun shooting the entire sequence and I’m sure the viewers too will enjoy the upcoming track as a lot of shocking revelations are going to come up.”

Watch the drama unfold on Main Maayke Chali Jaungi Tum Dekhte Rahiyo every Monday to Friday at 8.30 pm only on Sony Entertainment Television.

Siddharth Kumar Tewary's mythological show on the greatest love story between Radha & Krishna has appealed to audience far & wide across age groups despite its niche genre.

It was a double whammy as Swastik's two shows complete milestones this week - Chandragupta Maurya with 50 Episodes and RadhaKrishn with 100 Episodes.  Sumedh Mudgalkar who plays Krishna excitedly shares, 'We've reached a milestone, we have completed 100 episodes already but the freshness is intact. We still wake up & look forward to come to the sets everyday because it is exciting work. We are a one big happy family so work is not work anymore, there's no pressure. We are away from the city here in Umargaon  for the last 6 months & in such circumstances, it is only human to fall prey to work pressure, it is easy to stop loving the work & doing it just because one has to but it is not the case here.'

Talking about the master storyteller, Sumedh shares, 'Siddharth is the brainchild, the driving force behind RadhaKrishn. This show has been made to reflect emotions, SKT has created a different world altogether. There is so much we are learning everyday, we relate to the show & that is why I believe audience are loving the show. The entire team of Swastik has worked really hard for this show. I honestly had no idea that a mythological show like RadhaKrishn will reach such heights where it is today. The attention I'm getting is overwhelming. It keeps me going.'

It has been an eventful year for the creator who has had a record breaking launch of 4 shows in a row. RadhaKrishn followed by Chandragupta Maurya, Tantra & now his association with the world's biggest NGO Bill & Melinda Gates foundation penning a show for them on urban sanitation Navrangi Re!
