Nikhil Dwivedi prefers doing most of his stunts whilst shooting, as it gives a realistic feel to his acting skills. But the actor who has wowed the critics with his acting chops in Shor in the city, Raavan, did not bargain that it could prove so fatal. A unit source confirms that Nikhil who was shooting an action sequence for Vikram Bhatt’s HATE STORY in Chandni Chowk in Delhi, was supposed to jump from one rooftop to another and then jump on the ground where he was set for a collusion with a cyclist and keep on running. But the timing of the collision went off the mark and he was hit hard and fell off the ground. And since he tried to avoid fatal injuries if he had hit the wall, he tried to cushion the fall on his right hand which cracked up due to weight on his and.Though he was writhing in pain, the Brave heart was keen to complete the shoot by taking pain killers. Once the shoot was complete the unit rushed the actor to a nearby hospital where they realised that it was a fracture. When asked, Nikhil confirms that when he fell off on the ground, he heard a crack and was sure that he had fractured his hand, but he didn’t want to delay the shoot and complete the sequence. Though the next day action sequence was called off to rest his fractured hand. And fortunately for him, since HATE STORY was set in winter, he could camouflage his injured hand by wearing long sleeves woollen clothes and continue shooting for the rest of the scene.Though the injury has delayed the next schedule of his other film TAMANCHEY by a few weeks, as he would not be able to hide his cast from the camera. But no doubt Nikhil has joined a list of illustrious actors who have been injured on the sets whilst doing their own action stunts. After all, for them Acting is happy agony Na!
