Aanchal Gupta, spearheading this social cause managed to get the Dharavi girls who were a part of a foundation called ‘Sneha Foundation’ & training the girls under professionals at her academy, she mentions, “These girls have performed like professionals would, they took the training seriously from day one. I want to tell everybody that these girls if given a chance will take every opportunity& grow in life like no other. They are stars already.”
Dance with Joy’13 has always been lucky with the magnanimous support from the entertainment industry, celebrities, media every one came in & how to support the social cause. Salome Roy Kapur, Varuna Jani, Kamlesh Hemdev, Rajesh Khera, Amy Billimoria, Kavitta Verma, Tanya Mallik, Vivek Mishra, Taufiq Qureshi came in to grace the social cause with other 800 guests cheering for the Dharavi girls & other dance performances on 90’s medley.
Arts in motion, a one-stop-address for Dance, Fitness, Theatre& Music classes, workshops & culture related activities, Dance of Joy’13, the dance show with a wide variety of Indian & International dance forms, an explosive display of extraordinary expertise by the students of the Academy Arts in Motion, a dance show personifying celebration of life through dance.Aanchal Gupta, who looked gorgeous herself, played the perfect host & communicated the message to the media, “This is what Dance with Joy does, and we celebrate life here. Look at these girls, they feel liberated, they eyes are spirited, help us spread this message.” Aanchal received aplomb for her brilliant initiative.
Dance with Joy has had dance performances by kids suffering from Cancer, Arthritis, Autism, Paralysis, a brilliant awareness for the special requirements of the underprivileged, challenged & diseased; to help integration through interaction and to heal through dance.
The annual dance extravaganza has had performances by street kids, a special awareness against female feticide & other issues for which the Academy Arts in Motion, had been recognized & supported by the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ashok Chavan.
She concludes, “Let’s Dance, Let’s heal the world, these under privileged kids teach us a lot, every year during the training, we get up & close personal with them, they confide in us, despite all the odds they give their best. It is a beautiful process. We will do it each year. We need everybody’s support.”
