Shivam is making his debut as an actor in ‘Nasha’. Playing the protagonist, his is a young college student’s character, his infatuation with his teacher and his coming of age.
An accomplished street dancer, Shivam is known in the underground dancing circuit as 'Evolution', or Bboy Evolution. His journey of dancing began at age 18 with his hip hop crew, "Street Soul Dance Crew", which is one of India's most respected hip hop dance crews, and arguably also the best. After years of dancing and doing forms like authentic B-boying, Krumping, Popping, Contemporary his confidence as a performer increased. Shivam and his crew (trained by him) from HR college has kept winning extravaganza of Festival circuit of STREET DANCE category in college Fests like "Kshitij" for 3 years in a row, "Malhar" for 3 years in a row, "Kaleidoscope" for 3 years in a row, "Umang", "Waves" (BITS Pilani Goa), "Bruha" (Sydenham), "Mood Indigo" (IIT Bombay) and many others.
After dominating the college festival they took up India's biggest college festival ‘Indiafest’ in 2011, officially organized by Channel [V] and Nokia and once again tasted victory.
Now being a champ in dancing, Shivam feels invincible when he is in his element.
Taking a step forward from his element, this young boy is making his debut as an actor in the upcoming movie Nasha, Directed by Amit Saxena. In which this sensitive young lad will be seen as the 18 year old boy who falls hopelessly in love with a 25 year old woman. A woman he cannot have, but a woman he cannot help but desire. And, as is the case with desires unfulfilled, they turn into obsessions. And yet, every obsession is a lesson learnt; an experience gained. So that, in the course of coping with his unrequited love, the boy requites a lot more. And both he and the woman come of age. Beyond mere years, in the truest sense of the word it’s a tale as much of longing as of losing. Shivam is a go getter. Once he decides, he just reaches for his goals. From athlete to dancer to an actor, his transition has been smooth and complete throughout.
