In a surprising move, the makers of the cross-border comedy of errors, Happy Bhag Jayegi have roped in singing sensation Mika Singh to croon the promotional track of the run-com starring Diana Penty, Abhay Deol, Ali Fazal and Jimmy Shergill.
The promotional number, ‘Gabru Ready To Mingle Hai’ is a peppy number that sets the tone for the laughter riot, produced by Krishika Lulla and Aanand L Rai and directed by Mudassar Aziz.
Interestingly, Mudassar has penned all the songs in Happy Bhag Jayegi, including the promotional song. He says, “Inspiration for everything on this film has always been this mad character, Harpreet Kaur aka Happy that I thought of a few years ago. She is the soul behind the words of Gabru… too!”
“We were clear that this album should sound like one integrated story. Multiple lyricists or music directors is not my idea of creating an album. I guess I felt too close and protective of my characters to let others pen lines for them,” Mudassar adds.
