For the uninitiated, Beautypolis Awards was launched in
October to celebrate excellence by professionals and entrepreneurs within the
beauty industry.
The event saw evergreen actress Zeenat Aman as the Guest
of Honour, besides being awarded the Eternal Global Beauty Icon Award. Besides
Zeenat Aman, stalwarts from the beauty industry including Shahnaz Husain,
Vandana Luthra, Ambika Pillai, Sumit Israni, Chandni Singh, Blossom kochhar
among others will also be acknowledged with awards for their contribution to
the industry.
Says Aashish Rego, “Most often it is the face that wears
the makeup or the head that wears the style which is glorified but not the
person who makes it all possible. People from the trade who have the vision, to
dream beyond what anyone has dreamt, who make accessible revolutionary
products, services, education and technology that enables professionals who in
turn with their artistry that uses the human hair, face and body as a canvas and
paint a picture that transforms a girl next door into a beauty queen. It is our
mission to honor the people who make you and me look and feel good about
ourselves.”
The Raw Star winner Rituraj Mohanty set the stage on fire
and entertained the audiences.
