The Weeknd Gains Most Spotify Stream in a Single Day with ‘Starboy’

Canadian Pop singer and record producer Abél Tesfaye, known professionally as The Weeknd has done it again as he breaks the record of receiving the most Spotify streams in one single day for a single artist on a platform!  His latest released album ‘Starboy’ has taken over the Spotify’s Global Top 50 chart with the title song ‘Starboy’ at the top with more than 4 million streams. The title song is also doing the rounds on YouTube as the music video has amassed more than 284 hundred million views within a few weeks after its release. Starboy- The album features combinations from Daft Punk, Lana Del Rey, Kendrick Lamar, and more. The Weeknd’s third studio album featuring 18 songs  has received more than 36 million streams in a single day with the songs ‘I Feel it coming’ and ‘Party Monster’ on a consecutive 4^th and 5^th position. “I Feel It Coming” is also Top 10 on Spotify in over 30 countries including Switzerland, Canada, France, Hong Kong, Poland, Greece, Netherlands, Norway, US and UK. The 26 year old’s road to success continues to grow as he soon will be performing on the highly awaited 2016 Victoria Secret’s fashion show along with performances from Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars among the many others.
