Sukhwinder Singh Sings an Anthem for Naxals in Prakash Jha’s‘Chakravyuh’

Associated with hits like Chaiya Chaiya, Dil Se, Jai ho etc,Indian playback singer Sukhwinder Singh is all set to create his magiconce again with Prakash Jha’s next film ‘Chakravyuh’.Known to make his songs as national anthem for the country, Sukhwinder has nowsung a song for the naxalites in ‘Chakravyuh’.
Sukhwinder, who recently concluded his seven shows trip toSingapore, New Zealand and Australia, came to Delhi and shared his plans withthe media in Hotel Le Meridian. “I makesure I study the character I sing for. I think it helps me perform better. Thissong ‘Jungle humara baap hai’ from the movie ‘Chakravyuh’ depicts the life andfeelings of naxalites. I simply love the lyrics of this song” quotesSukhwinder.
On his recent trip to Delhi, Singh was seen admiring thelegendary singer Asha Bhosle too. “Ashaji’s voice is just like her name full of hope and a sweet touch of naughtinessattached to it. I hope that one day I get to make my music album with her.”He said.
Earlier also Sukhwinder Singh had sung songs like ‘Chak de’and ‘Jai Ho’ which were considered being the anthems of India. With this songin ‘Chakravyuh’ it is sure that it’ll be the anthem for the naxalites.

And post that Live fromthe Console guarantees to present an evening that will stun the musicaficionados with Rachel Varghese, Vivek Rajagopalan (Carnatic,electronica, world) and Vivienne Pocha(soul, funk & pop)

ओह माई गॉड के लिए अक्षय बने शाकाहारी

अक्षय कुमार खाने के मामले में बेहद शौक़ीन हैं. ऊपर से वो ठहरे ठेठ पंजाबी और पंजाबियों की तरह तो शायद ही कोई मज़े लेकर खाना खाते होंगे. अक्षय माँसाहारी खाने के बहुत बड़े शौक़ीन हैं. लेकिन अपने इस स्वादिष्ट शौक पर उन्होंने कुछ दिनों के लिए नियंत्रण पाने की ठान ली है. मतलब वो कुछ दिनों के लिए माँसाहारी खाना त्याग रहे हैं. अक्षय की फ़िल्म ओह माई गौड जल्द ही रिलीज़ होने वाली है और भगवान् की बात आती है तो अक्षय बेहद श्रद्धालू इंसान हैं. भगवान का किरदार निभाने के लिए अक्षय शाकाहारी बन गए.
यूँ तो अक्षय हर साल गणपति के ११ दिन तक मांसाहारी खाना नहीं खाते हैं क्योंकि उनके घर भी गणपति बैठते हैं. परन्तु इस बार कुछ ज्यादा वक़्त के लिए उन्होंने छोड़ा. शूटिंग और प्रमोशन के दौरान अक्षय ने एक बार भी मांसाहार खाना नहीं खाया. और ये चीज़ वो तब तक बरक़रार रखने वाले हैं जब तक की फ़िल्म रिलीज़ न हो जाए. खासतौर से उनकी पत्नी ट्विंकल ने उन्हें इस बात की सलाह दी थी कि उन्हें फ़िल्म पर काम करने तक शाकाहारी बन जाना चाहिए. और अक्षय ने बखूबी से इस बात को लागू भी किया. अक्षय इस फ़िल्म में वो भगवन की भूमिका निभाते हुए नज़र आयेंगे. वो नहीं चाहते थे कि एक तरफ जहाँ वो भगवान का किरदार करेंगे वहीँ दूसरी ओर वो मांसाहार का प्रयोग करें. भले ही ये एक किरदार था लेकिन उसपर भी अक्षय ने भगवान के प्रति अपनी पूरी प्रतिष्ठा बनाये रखी. ये फ़िल्म अक्षय के लिए एक धार्मिक सफ़र रहा और उनके दिल के करीब बहुत ख़ास रहेगी हमेशा. उनका ये मानना है कि ये सब कुछ उनको भगवान का दिया है.

I play a super star’s wife - Rashmi Nigam

Kareena Kapoor’s female protagonist is at the heart of Madhur Bhandarkar’s upcoming film, Heroine. But in a movie that promises to take you behind the scenes of Bollywood, how can one forget the male superstar and the as-much-in-the-public-eye star wife?
The character of the star wife in Heroine apparently draws from the lives of Gauri Khan (Shah Rukh Khan’s wife) and Sussane Roshan (wife of Hrithik Roshan). The role is played by Rashmi Nigam. In the film, she is the wife of actor Sanjay Suri’s character who is an established star.
Rashmi says, “My role shows what a star’s wife has to go through. When relationships and rumours start cropping up around the actor, it makes her jealous. Yet, she wants to see her husband shine.”
Talking about how she was picked, she says that it came thanks to the re-casting . “In November, I did an ad for a shampoo brand. At the time, they were re-casting for Heroine. I had asked my agency to get me an audition as I’ve always wanted to work with Madhur Bhandarkar. They saw my ad and called me in,” she says.
Though the spotlight in the film is firmly on Kareena, Rashmi isn’t worried that her performance will get overshadowed.
“The film is indeed about Kareena’s character. The rest of us are supporting characters who help build up the plot. However, when you are sharing screen space with Kareena, you will naturally draw eyeballs as well. So I don’t have any qualms doing this film,” says Rashmi.
