लोकप्रिय संगीतकार लक्ष्मीकान्त - प्यारेलाल के संगीत के बारे में कुछ भी कहना सूरज को दिया दिखाने जैसा ही है. लेकिन हम यहाँ बात कर रहे हैं संगीतकार प्यारेलाल के बारे में जो की करीब एक दशक बाद एक बार फिर से अपने चाहने वालों का मनोरंजन करने के लिए आ रहे हैं एलबम ‘आवाज़ दिल से’ के द्वारा. इटरनल ड्रीम्सद्वारा रिलीज़ किये गए इस एलबम में गीतों को गाया है गायक पंकज चतुर्वेदीने. पिछले दिनों प्यारेलाल जी से बात हुई उनके इस नए एलबम के गीत संगीत के बारे में. प्रस्तुत हैं कुछ मुख्य अंश ----

14 साल के बाद एक बार फिर श्रोता आपका संगीत सुनेगें, लेकिन क्या वजह रही इतने साल तक जो आप अपने चाहने वालों से दूर रहें?

नही - नही हम अपने चाहने वालों से दूर नही हुए कभी भी. बस थोडा सा ब्रेक लिया था. सन ६३ से सन ९८ तक लगातार हमने काम किया. इसी बीच हमने लोक संगीत, भारतीय व पाश्चात्य संगीत का अध्यनन किया व विदेशों में भी परफोर्म किया. हाँ बहुत अच्छा लग रहा है कि अपने इस एलबम ‘आवाज़ दिल से’ के माध्यम से हम एक बार अपने चाहने वालों के रूबरू होंगें.

एलबम के बारे में बताइए ? यह आपका पहला एलबम है तो कैसा रहा अनुभव इसमें काम करते वक्त, एलबम का नाम 'आवाज़ दिल से’ रखने की कोई ख़ास वजह ?

इटरनल ड्रीम्स म्यूजिक कंपनी द्वारा रिलीज़ किये गए इस एलबम में नए गायक पंकज चतुर्वेदी ने गीतों को गाया है.कुल ६ गीत हैं इसमें, एक ‘माँ’ का गीत है, एक रोमांटिक गीत है और कुछ रीमिक्स गीत भी हैं.

‘आवाज़ दिल से’ रखने की वजह यह ही है कि जब भी हम दिल से गाते हैं तो सीधे सुनने वालों के दिलों पर दस्तक देता है गीत. गायक पंकज ने भी सारे गीतों को अपने दिल से गाया है.

अनुभव यह हुए की एलबम में काम करते वक्त पूरी आज़ादी के साथ काम किया किसी भी तरह का कोई बंधन नही था कोई भी सिचुएशन नही थी, जबकि फिल्म में तो कहानी की मांग के हिसाब से काम करना होता है।

पकंज के साथ ही एलबम की कोई ख़ास वजह ?

उसकी आवाज़ सीधे दिल को छूती है बहुत ही अलग आवाज़ है ना तो उसकी आवाज़ किशोर जैसी है न रफ़ी जैसी न वो मन्ना डे है ना सोनू निगम और न शान। उसने उम्मीद से ज्यादा गाया है बहुत मेहनत की है यह मैं इसलिए नही कह रहा है कि मैंने उसके साथ एलबम किया है।जब आप सुनेगें गीतों को तब आप जरुर मेरी बात पर यकीन करेगें।

किस तरह के गीत हैं इसमें और क्या जब श्रोता सुनेगें तो उन्हें लक्ष्मी - प्यारे के संगीत की झलक इसमें महसूस होगी ?

लक्ष्मी प्यारे के संगीत का जादू तो होगा लेकिन कुछ नयी खुशबू के साथ । मुझे पूरा यकीन है की श्रोताओ के दिलों पर जादू चलायेगा "दिल की आवाज़' एलबम और पंकज की आवाज़ का जादू भी छ जाएगा।

आपने एलबम में गीत "मैं शायर तो नही" भी शामिल किया है तो कोई ख़ास वजह इसी गीत को शामिल करने की कोई ख़ास वजह ?

इस गीत को हर उम्र के श्रोता पसंद करते हैं इसमें हरकत - मुरकी तो है ही साथ में थोडा सा आधुनिक भी बनाया है हमने इसे।

इसके अलावा एलबम की कोई खास वजह ?

हमने इसमें गीतों की रिकॉर्डिंग 100 संगीतकारों के साथ की है इसके अलावा कोरस का प्रयोग किया जबकि आम तौर पर ऐसा नही होता. लाइव रिकॉर्डिंग के साथ- साथ कीबोर्ड का भो प्रयोग किया है।

Sony Music's Folktronic Artist Shri creates official theme track for the movie - Life of Pi

Sony Music has always believed in promoting their artists across different platforms while presenting them with new challenges that help leverage their talent. Keeping the same in mind, Shri, a Folktronic artist has been signed by Fox STAR Studios India to create the theme track for their much awaited forthcoming movie - Life of Pi. Shri, one of the pioneers of the ‘folktronica’ genre, draws upon a multitude of cross-cultural musical influences in his compositions.

“It’s an honour to be a part of such a prestigious project. I have been given the space to create my own music while keeping in mind the aesthetics of the film. Ang Lee is known to give cinema a new dimension and I have loved every bit of working with him. I am excited for the launch and hope people across the globe will like my work“, comments Shri in light of the forthcoming film release.

Based on the best-selling novel, Life of Pi explores the journey of an Indian zookeeper’s son named Pi, who finds himself in the company of a hyena, zebra, and a Bengal tiger after a shipwreck leaves them abandoned in the Pacific Ocean. This movie is a creation of OSCAR Award Winner Director Ang Lee. The movie stars immensely talented actors like Suraj Sharma, Irrfan Khan and Adil Hussain.

Shri has gained recognition for scoring the Google Chrome short film based on the dying Tanjore arts – this film was nominated for the prestigious CLIO and Cannes Lions Awards in the Best Original Music category. Shri’s initial International television & film music contributions were in 2002 for the popular television series, ‘C.S.I’ and later, for the 2007 Hollywood film ‘Battle in Seattle’ as part of the Badmarsh & Shri duo. Shri has since provided background scores and soundtracks for Bollywood films such as Barah Aana (2009), Striker (2010) and for numerous advertisements.

In 2011, Shri was featured on The Dewarists – a collaborative fusion music television series, along with Rajasthan Roots and Monica Dogra. Additionally, Shri’s live music act ‘Shrilektric’ – India’s first acoustic, electronic and computing based performance concept has headlined festivals including Sunburn and York Live, among others.

Good evening and thank you to the French Ambassador Francois Richier, Eminent dignitaries, respected members of the media, my dear family and friends, ladies and gentlemen….

I must begin by sincerely thanking the French Government, for honouring me with this award of Knight of the Order of Arts and letters, the 2^nd highest civilian award, for my humble contribution to the world of cinema over the years. To be conferred with this distinction is truly overwhelming. And given the fine company of distinguished Indian personalities from the fields of cinema, art, literature as well as those conferred with this honour internationally, this is treasured.

FRANCE has been quite the symbol of the celebration of ART and CULTURE globally…much like India…and immensely contributed to and influenced the ever-evolving world of cinema, theatre, literature, music, architecture and fashion. Mention PARIS and you witness this very celebration in its FULL GLORY and its magnetic romantic CHARM.

Mention CANNES and you recognize one of the World’s most glamorous celebrated films festivals experienced

Ten years ago, I had the privilege of representing an Indian film for the 1^st time here with DEVDAS being screened at the PALAIS at Cannes. And, what a memorable reception it was an Indian horse carriage,……….a standing ovation…overwhelming. To experience an Indian film being celebrated with such fanfare in France was immensely special. Personally speaking, it was thereon, that International media and the world of cinema recognized my work in Indian Cinema…and for this, I will always thank you sincerely, for the immense love and appreciation I received first from the people of FRANCE, on a global platform.

To be invited back again as jury member of this festival, a 1^st for a member of the Indian Film Industry gave me much pride, at being given the responsibility of representing MY INDIAN FILM INDUSTRY, in France, internationally.

From thereon…. till date…. opportunities and experiences have been aplenty…. Each one memorable and cherished… occasions strengthening creative ties between France and India and therein our beautiful countries…both so rich in ART, HERITAGE & CULTURE.

I could go on and on, because of so many beautiful memories but I’ll end, by thanking the French Government once again for this overwhelming honour and your patience with me at conferring it. I also thank EVERY PROFESSIONAL (Directors, actors, technicians, crew and my personal staff) I’ve worked with throughout my career in this wonderful and glorious family of the Indian Film Industry. My ever-loving audience in India and the world over, for your unconditional love, acceptance, appreciation, prayers and blessings. Members of the media and critics for all your support and most importantly, and most precious my family, my father-in-law and mother-in-law for their blessing. Thank you PA for coming here today. NASHA story and EXCLUSIVE poster

Poonam Pandey's debut film is called Nasha. The former Kingfisher model was signed a while ago by Producers Surender Suneja and Aditya Bhatia for their first film.
"It can be Nasha of any sort. There are people who are high on life today. Some people need some nasha as a crutch to move along in life. The film however talks about the addictions of the youth, one of which is connected to the main storyline of the film. This is a film for the youth, it is a coming of age film. It is a film that every moviegoer will identify with," says Poonam about her debut film.
For director Amit Saxena who has donned the director's hat for the second time in a Hindi feature film after a stint in the US of A, the film is much more than a movie. "Nasha is a cult title. Till date no feature film with just the word Nasha has been made in the world," says Saxena. The first look of the film which was shot recently and a picture leaked out from the said campaign is already creating a buzz.
Producer Aditya Bhatia says that the film is for adults only. "We are making a classy film. Amit has directed Jism earlier with Bipasha Basu and John Abraham and shown the stuff he has been made of. Poonam Pandey's growing cult status is an important facet that we cannot overlook. Adult movies are doing well in the cinemas today and we are making movies for the big screen and Nasha will show the world that India can also make bold cinema that is still classy," he says clearly.
The five alphabets comprising the title of the film have been made using the starcast of the movie. Whose limb was used to make what is however left to the imagination of the audiences. Nasha goes on the floors next week in Mumbai and outdoor locales.
