Shemaroo's Filmigaane enters the "Limca Book of Records"

#FilmiGaaneAntakshri kick-started with a great momentum and broke the record of 'Most tweets in a day' only to make another record with a breathtaking figure of 34,949 tweets. The last record for 'Most tweets in a day' stood at 2,858 tweets in February 2015.
#FilmiGaaneAntakshari, an initiative by Shemaroo’s Filmigaane, is the first of its kind digital campaign that is runnning on Twitter for 7 continuous days, 24 hours from 26th September’16 to 3rd October’16 running for a total of 168 hours. This campaign is not just unique because it runs for 168 hours continuous, but it goes a step ahead by making us re-live with the beautiful retro era of songs released on or before the year 2000.

Along with breaking a record of 'Most tweets in a day' #FilmiGaane is attempting a record in the 'Limca Book of Records' for playing the longest running Antakshari on TWITTER. During the course of this campaign, winners are selected everyday and by Day 4, 1000 winners have already been declared and roughly a 1000+ more are yet to win! A Grand prize worth Rs. 10,000 awaits the person who will have the maximum participation during the campaign.  

DASU releases new single- Holding On!

Following the success of his previous music videos “Dil Kya Kare (Did I Love You?)” and “Frenemies”, NY/NJ based R&B/Pop sensation Amrit Dasu a.k.a. DASU has just launched the music video for his latest single“Holding On” via Universal Music. Since its release barely 4 days ago, the music video has already crossed a phenomenal 500,000 views on YouTube/VEVO which is incredible for an English song by an Indian origin artiste! 
On “Holding On” the singer-songwriter DASU chronicles the feeling of loss felt after the end of a relationship and the lyrical intensity of the song is beautifully reflected in the music video that was shot in New Jersey. 
With the music video crossing half a million views within a few days of its release, “Holding On” is turning out to be a huge fan favourite for DASU! The fans seem to love his softer side as he seeks reconciliation with his lost love on the song and video which DASU says ….is a song about someone holding on to the person who made home feel home".

Makers to donate percentage of 31st October revenue to Widow Colony

The makers of 31st October, including writer-producer Harry Sachdeva and National award winning filmmaker Shivaji Lotan Patil, will donate a portion from the box office earning of their poignant thriller to the women of Widow Colony in tilak vihaar, Delhi 
Based in New Delhi, ‘Widow Colony’ is run by the government, providing shelter to thousands of families affected by the anti-Sikh riots of 1984 that followed the assassination of the then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
Starring Soha Ali Khan and Vir Das, 31st October is the first mainstream film based on the aftermath of Indira Gandhi’s assassination and its repercussions. Vir and Soha play a Sikh couple in the film who tries to escape from a riot-prone area with their kids post the assassination of the late political leader.
Harry Sachdeva says, “ Widow Colony exists because of that dark day took place in Indian history. More than 400 families reside in the Colony. When we visited the Colony as a part of the research, we decided to share a big part of the revenue with them."

Anna Hazare Wants To Fight Against Pakistan for India

The Indian army's surgical strike on Pakistan has created a stir and has brought forth the current Indo Pak situation. While people all over the country have come forward and expressed their view on the same, there is one social activist whose statement has made a deep impact.Anna Hazare, whose life will soon be seen on celluloid recently spoke about how he would like to join the army back at this age (79 years old) and  fight against Pakistan . Anna who was recently on a show to promote his film spoke the the same in detail while making this statement. He said, "Agar Pakistan nahi manta hai aur zarurat padi toh main seema pe jake ladunga." (If Pakistan doesn't listen and if need be I'll go and fight at the order).Hazare was drafted in the Indian Army in April 1960, where he initially worked as an army truck driver and was later attested as a soldier. During the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965, Hazare was posted at the border in the Khem Karan sector. He was the sole survivor of an enemy attack.Anna's Biopic is coming up on 14th October,2016.
