First Look of Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha for the recreated track ‘Mungda’ from Total Dhamaal

Sonakshi Sinha recreates Helen’s iconic track ‘Mungda’ for Indra Kumar ‘upcoming film, Total Dhamaal. The actress will be seen shaking a leg for this special number along with Ajay Devgn.

The song has been directed by Kookie Gulati, talking about it, he shares, "Kookie Gulati who directed Mungda shares, “For a particular situation in the film, we needed a young & energetic song to keep with the pace of the film. That’s when the idea of ‘Mungda’ came into place.  When we heard the recreated version by Gourov – Roshin, we wanted someone who could match up the beats of the song! We immediately thought of Sonakshi Sinha – she has a unique & an amazing blend to reach the youth as well as the masses. I’ll tell you Sonakshi Sinha fits this song perfectly. She is a great dancer with a very expressive face. We got Adil Shaikh to do the choreography and he’s killed it! Mohit Rai helped putting her look together, Durga Prasad built the set and was shot by ace DOP Keiko Nakahara. We are keeping the energy of the old track but taking it to the next level in scale and look. It was incredible that Indra Kumar, Ajay Devgn & Ashok Thakeria had faith in me and trusted me with this huge responsibility! I think we had a dream team and the results are there for everyone to see.”   

Sonakshi Sinha shares, "It was great reuniting with Ajay sir after Son Of Sardaar on this song and this film. I have really enjoyed the Dhamaal franchise and was thrilled when they asked me to be a part of it! The entire song shoot went off fantastically and was super fun!"

Meena Khadikar’s gift to Lata Mangeshkar on her birthday

Mothi Tichi Savli, Lata Mangeshkar’s Memoir to be launched 

Mothi Tichi Savli, a book on Lata Mangeshkar, penned by her sister Meena Mangeshkar-Khadikar was announced at a press conference at the Mangeshkar residence in Prabhu Kunj, Peddar Road. The book, based on the life of Lata Mangeshkar, will bring to the readers, interesting anecdotes from her life.

Organized by Hridayesh Arts, family members and other dignitaries including Lata Mangeshkar’s brother and veteran music director Hridaynath Mangeshkar and his son Adinath Mangeshkar, singer Usha Mangeshkar, playback singer Meena Mangeshkar-Khadikar, President of Hridayesh Arts – Avinash Prabhavalkar and the Publisher Appa Parchure graced the press conference. The memoir will be published by Parchure Prakashan Mandir.

Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar, also known as The Nightingale of India, is the recipient of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for her outstanding contribution to the growth and development of Indian Cinema. Not only the highest civilian award of India, she has also received the highest French decoration, The Legion of Honour.

The official unveiling of the book will take place on 28th September, 2018, at Ravindra Natya Mandir, Prabhadevi at an auspicious ceremony in the hands of the Sumitra Mahajan, President – Lok Sabha; in presence of Vinod Tawde, the Hon. Minister of Cultural Affairs & Minister of Higher & Technical Education; Shivshahir Babasaheb Purandare; Vidya Vachispati, Chief Speaker; Dr. Shankar Abhyankar, Appa Parchure and Pravin Joshi among many others. Following the book release, there will be a musical programme, helmed by Avinash Prabhavalkar titled Anand Ghan, rendering the Nightingale of India’s songs and musical compositions, set to vocals by Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar  with Usha Mangeshkar, Vibhavari Apte, Madhura Datar, Sonali Karnik and Prajakta Satardekar. The event is a Hridayesh Arts initiative.

Siddharth Kumar Tewary's Porus After A Successful Run To Weave Into ChandraGupta Maurya

Porus, which recently completed 200 episodes, has been the no.1 fiction show on Sony for most of its run!  With a loyal fan base across age groups, Porus is Indian Television's first 'global' series, airing in various countries internationally.  We hear that the show, which was always a finite series, will soon be weaving into another tale.

When we reached out to Siddharth to find out more about the upcoming story he revealed, "Porus was always planned as a limited series and we will end it as planned, but as we say...every end is a new beginning, for the first time in Indian television one story will move into another seamlessly, it's like one chapter ends and the second starts in a linear format. The key characters from Porus will take the story ahead in Chandragupta Maurya who was one of the biggest warriors of our country and had created a United India against foreign invasion."

Now this is a first happening ever on Indian Television and we're excited to find out about the progression coming up for Porus!
