१०२ साल के अमिताभ, ७५ साल के ऋषि कपूर

सौम्या जोशी की फिल्म १०२ नॉट आउट में २६ साल बाद अमिताभ बच्चन और ऋषि कपूर की जोड़ी फिर बन रही है । इस जोड़ी की आखिरी फिल्म अजूबा १९९१ में रिलीज़ हुई थी। १०२ नॉट आउट, सोम्या जोशी के गुजराती नाटक १०२ नॉट आउट पर आधारित है । ओह माय गॉड के डायरेक्टर उमेश शुक्ल  निर्देशित इस फिल्म की शूटिंग मुंबई में शुरू हो चुकी है । ख़ास बात यह है कि फिल्म में ऋषि कपूर१०२ बरस के बूढ़े अमिताभ बच्चन के ७५ साल के बेटे बने हैं । फिल्म में अमिताभ बच्चन का किरदार सबसे ज्यादा उम्र के व्यक्ति का एक चीनी द्वारा स्थापित रिकॉर्ड तोड़ना चाहता है । कल इस फिल्म का एक फोटो जारी किया गया।  इस फोटो में अमिताभ बच्चन और ऋषि कपूर बूढ़े मेकअप में नज़र आ रहे हैं। इस फिल्म का निर्देशन उमेश शुक्ल ही कर रहे है । फिल्म के सन्दर्भ में दिलचस्प तथ्य यह है कि फिल्म का ऐलान २०१३ में अमिताभ बच्चन के ७१वे जन्मदिन पर किया गया था । परन्तु फिल्म को फ्लोर तक पहुँचने में चार साल लग गए ।

VKAAO and Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd join hands to re- release Namak Halaal in theatres across India

VKAAO, India’s first ever ‘theatre-on-demand’ service associates with Shemaroo ShowTime – a sub-brand of Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd that deals in screening of iconic block buster films on big screens. The duo is re-releasing the cult classic film ‘Namak Halaal’ to mark the completion of ‘35 years’ of its release.  The movie is restored by Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd to offer the audience enhanced watching experience. Viewers across the country can book a private screening of the movie through VKAAO, at a theatre of their choice and convenient time. Alternatively, one can also book a ticket at the ticket counter of the theatre and be part of special screening of the movie on 21st May.
Speaking on the announcement, Kamal Gianchandani, CEO – PVR Pictures Ltd, said, “For our latest addition to VKAAO’s movie library, we decided to revive the much-loved classic Namak Halaal.The concept of screening iconic films in theatres is highly popular in the west and we hope to popularize the same in India through VKAAO. Sudhanshu Saria’s LOEV receives high accolades around the globe

Award wining filmmaker Sudhanshu Saria's critically acclaimed debut feature film, LOEV, has had a stupendous first week, generating praise and press from around the world even landing the top trending spot on Netflix India!Starring Shiv Pandit, Late Dhruv Ganesh and Siddharth Menon, the film follows three friends on a weekend road trip as they struggle to define the boundaries between love and friendship.It is being heralded for the sensitive and unconventional way in which it has portrayed homosexuality, without resorting to caricatures or unnecessary sensationalism. Ganesh's performance in particular has become a favourite with critics and it's heartbreaking to know that LOEV will remain the only principal role essayed by the young actor who passed away due to tuberculosis early last year. Produced by Arfi Lamba and Katharina Suckale of Bombay Berlin Film Productions in conjunction with Saria's Four Line Films, the film was recently screened for industry and was very well attended by Bollywood personalities and reviewers. Comedian Vir Das, fresh on Netflix with his own comedy special, called the film "powerful and mesmerizing" while actress Richa Chaddha appreciated the film's "realistic take at complex relationships." Even producer Ronnie Screwvala ongratulated the team for pushing the envelope of Indian cinema. 

The film traveled the festival circuit picking up awards and accolades in more than 50 countries before it was finally acquired by Netflix in a highly competitive situation for a worldwide exclusive deal.
